(TORONTO) -- Glen Abbey Golf Club was crawling with pros on Wednesday afternoon, but not pro golfers, pro basketball players.

The entire Raptors team were on hand to kick start their season, introducing the large group of new players, unveiling new home jerseys and raising money for the Raptors Foundation.

One guy that is as far from a new face as it gets for the Raptors is Morris Peterson. Being a veteran on the court is normal for him, but maybe not on the golf course.

“Well my driving game has been decent but that was my first driving shot in a couple of months so I’m a little rusty,” said Peterson. “I’m going to be taking some pointers from other guys.”

The tournament was not only helpful in getting to know some fans, but also a great way for the team to get to know one another.

“It’s definitely a nice way to start the season out. It gives the guys a chance to see the other side of each other,” said Peterson. “I heard that P.J. (Tucker) hit the ball like six inches off the tee so I’ve got to get on rook for that one. He’s got to pick that one up.”

With all the fresh faces on the team the afternoon on the golf course was a perfect setting for introductions.

“It’s fun to get to know people that are around the team a lot and just kind of get to know the Raptors community,” said Kris Humphries. “You know this being my first year, I’m excited to be here, and I think this is a good thing to kick the year off with.”

The annual tournament was a big success thanks to full team participation, with perfect weather, a great golf course, and all the proceeds going towards helping youth at risk.
