The Toronto Raptors will continue preparations for the 2010 NBA Draft by holding predraft workouts at Air Canada Centre next week. The Raptors have four dates scheduled beginning Monday, May 31 through Thursday, June 3. Additional workouts will be announced as needed.
Toronto has the 13th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft after finishing the regular season with a 40-42 (.487) record. The Miami Heat received Toronto’s second round pick (42nd overall) as the result of a four-player deal on February 13, 2009. The 2010 NBA Draft will be held June 24 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Raptors held six pre-draft workouts last year before selecting guard-forward DeMar DeRozan with the ninth overall pick. DeRozan appeared in 77 games during his rookie campaign averaging 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 21.6 minutes.
All of the Raptors’ pre-draft workouts will be held in the Adidas Practice Court, located on the third floor of Air Canada Centre. Media will be granted access towards the end of each session. Workout dates, times and participating players are all subject to change. Please call the Raptors media information line (416) 815-6111 for the latest information.
A representative from the Raptors’ basketball operations staff will be available for comment following each workout.
