Eric Smith covers the Raptors as the NBA analyst for the FAN 590 radio in Toronto. He hosts the FAN's pre, half, and post-game shows during Raptor broadcasts, "Hoops" - the FAN's weekly NBA show and "The NBA this Weekend".

  • April 16, 2003 - Smitty goes from "A" to "Z" in this concise wrap up of a Raptor season that was derailed by injuries and uncontrolable circumstances.
  • March 21, 2003 - Eric discusses the War in Iraq with some of the players and gets their views on the conflict and the role that basketball plays in difficult times such as these.
  • Feb. 25, 2003 - Although there has been some rumblings in Toronto that Vince Carter needs to score more points, Eric writes here that perhaps 19 points and nine assits is better than 30 points a night. Eric looks at Vince's new commitment to finding his teammates in the offensive end and penchant for setting players up for easy scores.
  • Jan. 13, 2003 - Morris Peterson has taken a lot of heat this season for his inconsistent play, but raptors.commentator Eric Smith writes that the loss of Vince Carter has left Mo Pete out in the cold. Smitty believes that once VC returns, Peterson will be back in business each and every night.
  • Dec. 10, 2002 - Smitty takes a look at second-year forward Michael Bradley and the big opportunities all the injuries have afforded the soft-spoken big man this season.

  • April 19, 2003 - Damian looks back on the 2002-03 season and picks out his highs and lows.
  • Mar. 31, 2003 - Damian looks at the importance of finishing the season strong after the Raptors beat a listless New York Knicks team that "mailed-in" a 10-point loss to the Raptors as their team is supposed to be fighting for a playoff loss.
  • Mar. 10, 2003- Damian says that this is no time for the Raptors or their fans to even think about going in the tank to round out the year. Damian sees now as a time to get everyone in line for next year and start building respect around the league.
  • Feb. 5, 2003 - Goddard takes a look at Antonio Davis and how the Raptors' backbone has weathered through injuries, criticism and trade rumours this season, all the while trying to lead and bring respect back to the team on the court.
  • Dec. 31, 2002 - Damian Goddard writes of the Raptors' injury troubles and looks at some ways the Raps can weather through these trying times. Damian calls for the Raptors role players to step up and fill the void
  • Nov. 5, 2002 - Damian examines the new additions to the Raptors and notes that all of their sizable contributions are making the injury woes a whole lot easier to handle.

Dan is inside the locker room and on the road with the team and gives you his take from his unique perspective with the Toronto Raptors.   • Mar 18, 2003 - Mike looks at the Raptors 0-5 road trip and looks for an explanation as to why the team is struggling after such a solid stretch when Vince Carter first got back in the lineup.
  • Mar 3, 2003 - Mike writes things are looking up in Raptorland as of late and fans have been cheering hard at Air Canada Centre for their team, but to finish the season with a .500 record and a shot at the playoffs appears less likely with each passing game.
  • Feb 20, 2003 - Mike looks at GM Glen Grunwald's decision to stand pat at this season's trading deadline, despite his team's dismal record. Glen feels his team needs more time to assess the talent he has and will defer to the summertime to make any moves.
  • Jan. 28, 2003 - Ever wonder where Rafer Alston got that funky nickname "Skip to m' Lou"? Raptors.commentator Mike Ball lets you in on its origin, Alston's fame in the New York area and his future outlook as a member of the Raptors.
  • Dec. 16, 2002 - The Raptors have been ravaged by injuries and we're beginning to think that coincidence has past the realm of possibility. Here Mike ponders the possibility of a sinister plot to keep the purple hoopsters down and out.
