My First Day on Twitter

September 14, 2010

You would think after Facebook, BBM, Email, G Mail and understanding the world of blogging, computer technology advancement should be easy to understand for a 22-year-old. I mean, I did my time; four years at Ryerson University only using computer technology you think would do it.

Twitter, my friends, has proved me wrong. I am finally a “Twitter User” or a “Tweeter” @cptcandice.

Recapping Halifax

September 8, 2010

Hey Everyone,

Candice here. I am currently sitting on my kitchen counter trying to get stuff ready for yet another year of learning in Interior Design. I have a portfolio to put together, but I decided to take a little break.

From these new Halifax Blogs by Kat that were just put up, I am getting a lot of questions and comments like “What exactly did you guys do in Halifax?”, or “What do appearances mean, you just go and appear somewhere?”, or “You guys must have the best job in Toronto to just stand there and look pretty,” or “What an easy gig that is!” My purpose in this blog is to set it straight.

Time Is Of The Essence

September 7, 2010

Driving down Lake Shore during rush hour was a disaster! If you live, work or have ever visited downtown Toronto, you know what I am talking about. The traffic, the lack of parking, or worse yet, the abundance of overpriced parking lots!

I turned onto Lake Shore from Yonge Street at 5:32 p.m., after an unbearably long wait in an automated parking garage where a middle-aged woman had difficulty paying for her parking. A 30-car line-up full of tired 9-to-5ers formed behind her. You can bet they were displeased, and they relentlessly honked until she returned with cash and paid her fee.
