Grunwald and Carter to Attend Draft Lottery


TORONTO - (May 12, 2003) -- The Toronto Raptors announced Monday that Senior-Vice President and General Manager Glen Grunwald and guard/forward Vince Carter will represent the team at the 2003 NBA Draft Lottery.

The lottery will take place Thursday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET at the NBA Entertainment Studios in Secaucus, New Jersey. For the first time in the history of the event, the NBA Draft Lottery will be a 30-minute television show, aired nationally by Raptors NBA TV and ABC.



Carter, a team co-captain, averaged a team-leading 20.6 points during the 2002-03 season. He will be on stage for the announcement of the draft order while Grunwald will be back stage to witness the selections

Toronto will have a 15.7 per cent chance of obtaining the first overall pick in the draft, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. ET at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
