(TORONTO) - May 15, 2003 -- Raptors NBA TV announced Thursday that it will air the 2003 NBA Lottery on Thursday May 22 at 8 p.m. (ET)/ 5 p.m. (PT). This event will be complimented by Lottery Thursday, a one-hour pre-lottery show at 7 p.m. (ET)/ 4 p.m. (PT) and a 30-minute post-lottery show immediately following that evening’s broadcast of an NBA Playoff game.
Host Damian Goddard, reporter Norma Wick and analysts Jack Armstrong and Chuck Swirsky will provide player profiles and exclusive interviews with Raptors Senior Vice President and General Manager Glen Grunwald, Denver Nuggets General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe and University of Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim.
“With the Raptors being in the unique position of having a potential top three draft pick this year, Canadian basketball fans will have special interest in this year’s lottery,” said John Shannon, executive producer, Raptors NBA TV. “What Lottery Thursday will provide is a distinct Raptors perspective of their draft intentions and the prospective players that will be available.”
This marks the first year that Raptors NBA TV has aired the NBA Lottery and will serve as a foundation for their NBA Draft coverage on June 26.

In Search of LeBron James on Wednesday May 21 at 9 p.m. (ET)/ 6 p.m. (PT) immediately followed by the documentary feature,
The Carmelo Anthony Story, showcasing the University of Syracuse phenom.
Raptors NBA TV launched in September 2001 and is available nationally.
