2003-2004 Toronto Raptors Dance Pak Auditions

Mini Dance Pak - Ages 6-9
Auditions: between 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Finals: 10:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.

Junior Dance Pak - Ages 10-15
Auditions: between 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Finals: 1:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m.

Raptors Dance Pak - Ages 19 & up
Auditions: between 2:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m.
Finals: 4:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

No pre-registration. Registration is done on the day of the audition.
The audition is an open call "first come, first up".
Wear comfortable dance wear and non marking running shoes (no black soles).
Dancers do not prepare a routine.
Open to male and female dancers.

The Raptors Dance Pak brings its own electrifying energy to all Raptors home games, under the direction of team coordinator/choreographer Courtney Niven.

A key element of the Raptors' in-game entertainment, the squad is comprised of highly-skilled dancers adept in a variety of dance forms including hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet and equipped with special skills including gymnastics.

Dance Pak members share their expertise with young hopefuls as instructors at various schools throughout the city and at the Raptors Annual Dance Pak Workshops held each summer. Annual auditions are held in August, at which all current members of the dance team are required to re-audition.

Rehearsals are held each week beginning in September through to the end of the season. There are usually 2-3 three hour rehearsals per week that all Dance Pak members must attend. When not on court or in rehearsals, the dancers are all either working full-time or are full-time students in college or university. Several members can also be seen doing other dance work in movies musicals, music videos and concert tours.

The Dance Pak also takes their show on the road, performing at more than 150 events a year, including an extensive number of charity appearances. The Raptors Dance Pak and Jr. Dance Pak are available for appearances at your corporate or community event by contacting Courtney at 416-815-5491.
