Reflecting On The Season That Was...
June 14, 2011
It’s day three of no sleep, a cough that will not seem to go away, and a pile of work that just seems to be growing. Yup, it’s the final two weeks of school, and this is generally when Candice likes to procrastinate to the fullest. For example, tomorrow I have a huge exam worth 40 per cent of my mark on electrical systems (I am studying Interior Design), and so far I have managed to watch two movies, surf on Twitter, search through old Dance Pak photos (which I have attached to this entry), which has all brought me here, writing an entry for you guys!
Not being with my ladies since the season ended has been weird, it really hasn't even been two months, and it feels like forever. The Dance Pak becomes a family, and that family has been taken away from me. And yes we do all manage to see each other, but it’s not the same as five days a week, three to four hours at a time, for seven or eight months.
I have to say this past season has to be one of my favourite seasons (out of the three that I have been on the Pak). Having the opportunity to be co-captain with Kat, working close with our coach Amberley Waddell, and meeting a new bunch of fabulous women, has taught me a lot about myself and has enabled me to explore opportunities that were not possible before this year. Looking back on those old pictures, I can honestly say I have been truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful organization, and work with such inspiring people.
Ok, I better get back to studying. Wishing everyone a happy summer!!
