The season is almost upon us. We're certainly excited to see all of the rookies coming into the league, but there are also several non-rookies we're also amped to check out. Some of these guys are coming back from an injury, some are expected to have expanded roles this year and some are new faces in new places. All have something to prove.

11-15 (in no particular order) - Mike Dunleavy Jr., Kirk Hinrich, Ron Artest, Boris Diaw, Nenad Krstic

10. Richard Jefferson (Nets) - RJ has done nothing but improve every year he has been in the league, becoming more and more of a complete player. We never got to see him play at 100 percent with both Kidd and Carter last season, so no one knows how dangerous they can be together. The Nets should be a very exciting team to watch this season. RJ might not get any Most Improved love, but we're still excited to see him healthy and running alongside Kidd and Carter.

9. Al Jefferson (Celtics) - Jefferson showed improvement over the course of his first season, but he never got major minutes. He will be called on to play a much larger role this year and has the potential to eventually be a dominant force down low for the Celtics.

8. Darko Milicic (Pistons) - Will Darko find a spot in the rotation now that Larry Brown is gone? Elden Campbell is out of the picture, but then the Pistons brought in Dale Davis and Jason Maxiell, so Darko will still need to earn his playing time. Still, we may actually see him in some non-garbage time action. It's time for Darko to show us what he's got.

7. Stromile Swift (Rockets) - Swift has never been a consistent producer since being drafted No. 2 in 2000. He has been playing behind Pau Gasol and Lorenzen Wright in Memphis, but he should now be have a starting job in Houston. Swift is an incredible athlete who can help Yao on the boards and block a lot of shots. There will be a lot of eyes on Swift this year to see how he can produce given consistent playing time and to see if he can help put the Rockets over the top.

6. Chris Bosh (Raptors) - With last December's Vince Carter trade, Bosh became the man in Toronto and he responded well, increasing his production 5.3 points (from 13.1 to 18.4) and 2.0 rebounds (from 7.5 to 9.5) per game after the deal. Bosh has all the tools to be a dominant player in this league, and we could see another jump in his numbers this season. Can he go 20 and 10?

5. Andre Iguodala (Sixers) - He actually reminds us a little of RJ, a fellow former U of A Wildcat. He's freakishly athletic, he plays great D and his skills are improving - all of which makes him a joy to watch. The focus in Philly is on Iverson and Webber, but AI2 could take some of the shine away from those guys this year. Dunk contest anyone?

4. T.J. Ford (Bucks) - The Bucks should be one of the most improved teams in the league this season and the return of T.J. Ford is certainly a key to that. Ford has been working hard to come back from a back injury that has caused him to miss a year and a half of basketball. It's great to see him back and ready to go.

3. Sebastian Telfair (Blazers) - With Damon Stoudemire gone, Telfair will now be handed the reins in Portland. Jarrett Jack and Steve Blake are there to help, but there's no doubt who the point guard of the future is for the Blazers. If you're ready to buy into the hype like we are, pick up The Jump and get ready.

2. Ben Wallace (Pistons) - He's not coming back from injury. His role won't be expanded. We just love to watch the guy go at it every night.

1. Shaun Livingston (Clippers) - Everyone we talk to absolutely loves this kid's skills, comparing his court vision and feel for the game to the likes of Magic Johnson. With his height, he has the ability to be an incredible weapon at the point guard spot. He is certainly fragile though. We didn't get to see much of him last year, so if he stays healthy, he should open some eyes around the league. If you can't tell, The Power of TEN loves true (pass-first) point guards.
