Whether you play pick up games on the playground, full court at the gym or one-on-one on the driveway you've got some moves that make your game, yours.
Now's your chance to show the NBA -- and the rest of the world -- what you've got! Enter the "Post Up The NBA" group, and post a video of your best moves. Check out the competition, discuss the dunks, rate the ankle breakers and get in the game. Each week, our talent scouts will review the videos giving you a chance to be chosen as one of the best. If selected, your video will be included in a Top NBA Post Ups List for all users to see.
Some ground rules:
- You must post your own moves; nothing taken from the NBA, NCAA, etc.
- No hanging on the rim, no breaking backboards - keep it safe!
- Nothing sexually explicit and no profanity
- The shorter the clips (1 minute or less) the better
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR TO BE SELECTED
Post Up The NBA (the "Contest") allows participants ("Participants") to show off their basketball skills by submitting a video of their best basketball move. Participants may upload their video submissions ("Submissions") through the Post Up The NBA group on youtube.com (the "Site"). Each Submission will be reviewed by a panel of judges (the "Judging Panel") from NBA Properties, Inc. ("Sponsor") in accordance with these Official Rules. The Judging Panel, in its sole discretion, may designate a number of Submissions to be included in a “Top Post Up NBA List” to be posted on the Site from time to time throughout the Contest.
Contest Term: Submissions may be posted beginning on February 16, 2007 and ending on the last day of the 2007 NBA Finals (the "Contest Term"). Eligibility: Employees (and members of their immediate families or households, including spouses, parents, siblings and children) of the Sponsor, the National Basketball Association ("NBA") and its member teams and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, and affiliates (the "NBA Entities") are not eligible to post Submissions for consideration.
This Contest is void where prohibited.
Submissions: Submissions must contain only original performances by Participants and may not include footage of any other third parties, including footage of game action from the NBA or the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Submissions may not feature participants hanging on the basketball rim, breaking backboards, or engaging in any other conduct that the Judging Panel, in its sole discretion, deems to be unduly violent or dangerous. Submissions may not violate any applicable laws and regulations. Submissions may not contain any profanity or sexually explicit content. Submissions may not defame or invade the rights of privacy of any person, living or dead, or otherwise infringe upon any third party’s personal or proprietary rights. Participants shall be solely responsible for securing necessary consents for the use of any music, video, trademark, image or other intellectual property featured in the Submission. Submissions that, in the sole discretion of the Judging Panel, fail to meet any of the criteria set forth above or contain any objectionable content will be disqualified.
All Submissions become the property of the Sponsor. As a condition for participating in the Contest, Participants irrevocably assign and transfer all rights, title and interest in and to their Submissions, including but not limited to copyrights and all other proprietary rights, to the Sponsor. By participating in the Contest, Participants further agree that additional written authorization, assignment or other documentation requested by the Sponsor in connection with the transfer and assignment of rights to their Submissions may be required as a condition of entry and agree to execute any such documents at the request of the Sponsor. Sponsor obtains the right, without limitation, to use, edit, and publish, in whole or in part, any and all Submissions in any media whatsoever, without time or geographical restrictions, without providing any additional compensation or consideration to Participants.
Judging: All Submissions will be reviewed by the Judging Panel based on the following criteria: (1) skill and athleticism of the basketball moves featured in the Submission; (2) originality and creativity of the basketball moves and the Submission; (3) inspiration; and (4) appeal to other viewers (including quality and length of the video). The Judging Panel may disqualify a Submission in its sole discretion if it is not consistent with the NBA’s reputation in the marketplace.
This Contest is based on skill, not chance. The odds of your Submission being selected by the Judging Panel depend entirely upon the number and quality of the Submissions received. Based on the criteria described above, the Judging Panel, in its sole discretion, may designate a number of Submissions to be included in a “Top Post Up NBA List” to be posted on the Site from time to time throughout the Contest Term(the "Selected Submissions"). Additional Rules: By entering the Contest, participants grant the NBA Entities permission to use their names and/or likenesses for advertising or publicity with further notification, authorization, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Participation in the Contest will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims, including for publicity, invasion of privacy, defamation and ownership and use of Submissions.
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Participants shall be solely liable for any injury or damage caused by participation in the Contest and, by participating, agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Judging Panel, which decisions are final. Participants agree that the NBA Entities are not liable for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by (or claimed to be caused by) the creation of a Submission, the participation in the Contest and/or being selected or disqualified as a Selected Submission.
