We're a little disappointed with the first two games against Cleveland, but why get frustrated? You're playing against a quality team. You're on the road in a hostile environment. And in the last few minutes, they made the plays that they needed to. So, why get frustrated? You're doing a lot of good things. Now, it's a matter of you coming home.
We've been dominated on the glass, but we haven't been dominated in the games. And I think that's something that people need to understand.
You can't look at every loss like a lost opportunity. Unless you completely blew it. Unless you're up by 20 or something. When the game is back-and-forth, back-and-forth, then it's anyone's for the taking, you know. It's not like they were allowing us to stay in the game.
You have until the seventh game, and I think Utah showed that. You have up until the seventh game to win on the opponents' home court.
We need to make plays. Cleveland's not a very good field goal percentage team. And that's why those guys hit the glass. When you have guys like Varejao, Drew Gooden and Ilgauskas, they don't often run plays for them. So, in order for those guys to score and get buckets, they have to be active on the glass. It's just like any team. Whenever you see blood and see an area in which you can dominate, you're going to work even harder. That's where we are right now.
I feel that I can always do better. I haven't really shot the ball that much in the fourth quarter. I have to continue to be aggressive, but I feel like I'm playing OK. I'm not playing great. I think I'm just playing OK.
Yesterday, we had the day off and I just sat around, played video games and relaxed. I was just trying to rest my body, because we went pretty quickly from one series to the next, and these series are pretty physical. I'm just trying to rest up a little bit.
I think that if you're coming out on Saturday or Monday to support the Nets, you should take a little offense to how everyone talks about the lack of energy in the building. You should take some offense to that. I respect everyone that comes out to the games here. Personally, I think our crowd is great. I think our crowd participates extremely well. I think that's why we have such a good home record.
