May 16 - This one's easy.

There are two matchups Tuesday: Heat-Nets (3-1) and Clippers-Suns (2-2). In an ideal world, I'd like to select a player from the Nets, the most likely of these four franchises to fail to advance to the conference finals.

Looking at my roster of Nets players I see the Experts have already selected Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. Jason Kidd, however, with a 28.8 regular season PRA is still on the board.

He's averaging an impressive 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists in the series vs. Miami (33.6 PRA). If the Nets lose tonight, surely I'd be upset at myself for leaving a triple-double threat on the table.

There's no reason to panic in the Suns-Clippers series.

It potentially will only go two more games but there's just one player available to the Experts with a PRA over 25 that'd I regret missing the boat on, and I can always get him in Game 5 or 6. That'd be Clippers point guard Sam Cassell with a 27.6 PRA.

I could live with two players in a group of Corey Maggette (23.1), Cuttino Mobley(21.0) and Tim Thomas (23.8) ending up going unutilized. Maggette had a injury-plagued year, the Bulls had no room on their roster for Tim Thomas and Mobley's largely a scorer. In other words, they aren't sure bets to produce on any given night in the playoffs.

Kidd will be the center of attention for the Nets

As for Kidd, he will be playing on the road tonight but this isn't a guy who's phased by a hostile opposing crowd, or much else for that matter.

Kidd's scoring and rebounding during the regular season were actually better on the road this season : + .7 ppg and + .3 rpg. His overall PRA did drop, however, with a noticable decrease in his assist production (- 1.6 apg).

The Nets are fighting for their playoff lives tonight, so you better believe Kidd will lay everything on the line in Miami. Even if New Jersey falls, I'd be shocked if Kidd disappointed.

He plays big when his team needs him most.
