X-Factor: Foster Fuels Final 90 Seconds

Reggie Miller ruled Crunch Time as Indiana took a 78-74 win over Detroit in Game 1 of the East finals, but Jeff Foster set the stage for Miller's heroics. Foster's driving layup, his only field goal, tied the score with 1:23 to play. Jermaine O'Neal missed a jumper on the Pacers' next possession, but Foster tipped the rebound back to O'Neal and then set a screen to free Miller for the game's crucial basket, a 3-pointer with 31.7 seconds left. "Foster was big for us, hitting the layup and then getting the offensive rebound on the next play," Miller said. "He set a great pick and I knew I had the look."
Ben Wallace, Det. VGM value: 19.0 Saturday: Detroit's loss didn't deflect the spotlight from Ben Wallace, who posted a plus-36 efficiency rating by notching 22 rebounds, 11 points, five assists and five blocks.
