How Does This Keep Happening?
OK, that settles it. If you love this game, you will never, ever miss an opportunity to watch a Minnesota-Sacramento showdown.
Why? Because five of the season's most fantastic finishes came from Wolves-Kings clashes. Here's a summary of a must-see rivalry, which resumes at 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday on ESPN with Minnesota holding a 2-1 series lead in the West semifinals:
The Kings erased a 13-point deficit in the final two minutes, capped by Peja Stojakovic's dramatic trey. Latrell Sprewell gave Minnesota the lead for good with 59 seconds to play in OT.
Sprewell scored 37 points, including two clutch jumpers in overtime. It was an NBA-record fourth straight OT game between the teams, dating back to the 2002-03 season.
Kevin Garnett, Min. VGM value: 28.8 Monday: The MVP's efficiency rating of plus-42 was a result of his well-rounded stat line: 30 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and three steals.

Malik Allen, Miami VGM value: 5.2 Monday: Allen shot 6-for-9 and matched Indiana super-sub Al Harrington's 13 points as Miami took a critical 94-87 win.
