Three to Make Two
Boston used three-pointers -- lots of 'em -- to reach Round 2 of the playoffs for first time since 1992. Paul Pierce scored 46 points and the Celtics were a sizzling 19-for-29 from long range en route to a 120-87 rout of Philadelphia in Game 5 on Friday. Boston will face another old-time rival, Detroit, in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
From the postgame news conference:
"We have another chance to play and we have to put pressure on them, where they feel it. It doesn't look to me like they're feeling it. They're playing with a lot of poise and have a lot to be proud of." -- Larry Brown, after Philly's Game 3 win
