Sidelined for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Nets after a flagrant foul against Orlando's Tracy McGrady got him suspended, Magloire is rarin' to get back in the action and help the Hornets tie the series at a game apiece.
At shootaround on Tuesday before Game 2, Magloire answered fan e-mail.
How do you and the Hornets plan on score against one of the best
defensive teams in the league in the second round?
La'Vonnie
Sumter, SC
Magloire: I think it's just execution. I think we went inside in spurts the last game and I think we need to do that a little more consistently and look to Elden and expect him to do some work.
How long do you practice and how often do you all practice? Do
you practice after you practice with the team?
Jacqueline
Memphis, Tenn.
Magloire: Our practice time is very limited. I think a lot of our preparation time is in film and actually on the job, so to speak. I'd say maybe a couple hours a day. I always try to get some shots up before and after practice every time.
What adjustments will the Hornets make after Game 1 and how will the gameplan change with you back in the lineup?
Zulu
Elko, Nev.
Magloire: Well the intensity is definitely going to pick up now that I'm back. The defense is going to pick up as well. I think the overall team morale and emotions are going to be there and that's something we were lacking the last game.
I am a tremendous fan of yours but I would like to
know if what you did to TMac was incidental or if you purposely did what
you did?
Jeff
Saugatuck, Mich.
Magloire: My intent was not to hurt him. My intent was to stop him from scoring. That's my job, that's what I'm expected to do and that's what I'm going to continue to do. I'm not going to play rough by any means, or play dirty, but I have a job to do and I'm expected to do it and that's what I'm going to do.
Do you really think that you deserved that suspension?
Nelson
Fairfield, Calif.
Magloire: I think it was a bit harsh, but I've accepted it, it's passed and I'm excited to be back playing again. I know in the past, for me personally, when I went through adversity I always came back and played better, even in college and that's going to be no different tonight.
I just wanted to know what it's like
playing with the best point guard in the NBA. Do you ever get suprised
by his great passes? Please hit me back. I really want to know more
about Baron, thanks.
Schuyler
Northwood, NH
Magloire: You definitely always have to have your hands up. He is one of the top three point guards in the NBA and you just have to be aware and be able to get up and down the court just like he does. But he's playing phenomenally well and he can't be stopped.
Jamaal, you've probably been asked this a lot, but how do feel
about the move of the Hornets to New Orleans? I know I sure don't want
to see ya'll move but it's done now and ya'll are gone and I would just
like to know how you and other players feel about the whole deal. Thank
you very much!!
Sam
Statesville, NC
Magloire: I'm very neutral right now. I really haven't been keeping up with the papers and stuff about New Orleans. I think the only thing on my mind right now is getting back to being able to contribute and help this team win and tonight's the first step.
Hey Jamaal!! What's up? I am a huge UK fan and Hornets fan!
Are you glad that you decided
to wait till your senior year at UK to go pro? Thanks for your time.
luv ya!
Maria
Lexington, Ky.
Magloire: Yeah, I think it helped with my maturity, my understanding of the game of basketball. If I could pick one thing, I would say my maturity. I've been able to grow and learn as a person as well as a player.
