2013-14: Had a breakthrough season and averaged 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, career-high 48.6 FG% (36th in NBA) and career-high 79.2 FT% in 81 appearances (all off the bench)… Finished fourth in voting for NBA Sixth Man Award and 10th in voting for NBA Most Improved Player… Scored 1,115 points in the season, all off the bench, becoming the third Suns player to score at least 1,100 points off the bench in a season… Led the NBA in points scored off the bench (1,115), double-digit scoring games off the bench (59) and double-doubles off the bench (11)… Posted single-season career-highs with 59 games scoring in double-digits, 18 games with 20+ points, 11 games with double-digit rebounds and 11 double-doubles… Led Suns in scoring 12 times (tied-third on Suns), rebounds 14 times (third on Suns), steals 13 times (tied-fourth on Suns) and blocks 19 times (tied-second on Suns)… Entered the season with a career-high of 23 points, a total which he surpassed 12 times during the season… Only player in NBA to average over 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds off the bench among those who played at least 25 games as a reserve… Over the final 45 games scored in double-digits 41 times and averaged 15.6 points over this span… Scored in double-digits in career-long 12 straight games from Jan. 15-Feb. 5… Twice had streaks of three consecutive games with 20+ points (Nov. 6-10, Feb. 21-25)… Had six games shooting at least 75.0 FG% (minimum 10 attempts) which ranked t-2nd in the NBA, trailing only Dwight Howard… Named Western Conference Player of the Week for Nov. 4-10 after averaging 22.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 69.8 FG% as the Suns went 3-1 for the week… In three games from Nov. 6-10, shot over 75.0 FG% in each game with at least 12 field goal attempts in each; joined Dwight Howard and Charles Barkley as the only three players in the NBA to shoot at least 75.0 FG% with that many attempts in three straight games dating back to 1989-90… Scored career-high 28 points (10-13 FG) and 10 rebounds vs. Denver on Nov. 8, recording double-doubles in consecutive games for the first time in his career… Scored 27 points and had a season-high 15 rebounds off the bench at Cleveland on Jan. 26 to become the first player to record at least 27 points and 15 rebounds off the bench in game since Yao Ming did so in 2002… On Dec. 6 vs. Toronto made his first 11 field goal attempts of the game, finishing 11-14 FG… Scored game-high 25 points, had six rebounds, three steals and three blocks at Denver on Dec. 20, setting career-highs with 11 free throw makes and 15 free throw attempts… Missed one game, the first game of the season vs. Portland on Oct. 30, due to a league suspension…


2012-13: Averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists while appearing in all 82 games (32 starts)… Joined Luis Scola as the only Suns to appear in every game in 2012-13… Had 18 double-digit scoring efforts in 32 starts, 11 double-digit scoring efforts in 50 reserve appearances… Five double-digit rebounding efforts… Three double-doubles… April included the first consecutive 20-point efforts of his career (April 13-15) and perhaps the best all-around game of his career to that point; April 15, recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, five steals and six blocks, the first NBA player with at least those numbers since Suns forward Antonio McDyess (April 4, 1998)… Became the first NBA player with at least five steals and six blocks in a game since Josh Smith (Jan. 15, 2007)… During the season, set new career highs in scoring (23, Nov. 23 vs. New Orleans) and rebounding (17, Dec. 6 vs. Dallas)…


2011-12: As a rookie became just the seventh Sun in franchise history selected to play in the Rising Stars Challenge at NBA All-Star Weekend… Averaged 7.4 points as a rookie, the highest by a Suns first-year player since Leandro Barbosa in 2003-04… Averaged 4.4 rebounds as a rookie, most by a Suns rookie since Stoudemire in 2002-03… Despite lockout-shortened schedule in 2011-12, tallied 22 double-digit scoring efforts, the most by a Suns rookie since Barbosa in 2003-04 (24)… First career 20-point game on Feb. 14, the first by a Suns rookie since Barbosa… One rookie double-double came on Jan. 8 (eighth game), the earliest in a career by a Suns rookie since Shawn Marion (first game, 1999)… Scored 16 points in his fifth game (Jan. 2), the earliest such scoring output by a Suns rookie since Shawn Marion (second game, 1999)… Dec. 31-Jan. 2 became the first Suns rookie with consecutive 15-point efforts since Barbosa (April 11-13, 2004)… Grabbed nine rebounds in his NBA debut on Dec. 26 vs. New Orleans, one shy of becoming just the third Sun in franchise history to record double-digit boards in his first career game (Marion-1999, Alvan Adams-1975).


COLLEGIATELY: Three-year performer at the University of Kansas named All-Big 12 Second Team, Honorable Mention AP All-American and Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team as a junior in 2010-11… Improved scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage in all three collegiate seasons and finished with career averages of 8.5 points (55.3 FG%) and 6.1 rebounds in 109 career games (44 starts)… Averaged career-highs of 13.6 points (58.9 FG%) and 8.3 rebounds as a junior… Led Big 12 in rebounds as a junior, and led the conference with 13 double-doubles, the ninth-best single-season total in school history… 58.9 FG% as a junior was the top mark in the Big 12 and 12th in the nation… Power forward shot 40.4 3FG% for his career, including a 25-59 (42.4%) as a junior.


PERSONALLY: Born in Philadelphia, Penn. on Sept. 2, 1989… Son of Thomasine “Angel” Morris… Has four brothers, Donte, Blake, David and twin brother Marcus… Marcus, a teammate at Kansas, was selected immediately after him in the 2011 NBA Draft (14th overall by the Houston Rockets)… Seven minutes older than fraternal twin Marcus… Nickname is “Keef” giving to him by his late grandmother, Shirley, with whom he shares a special bond… After the Morris’ childhood home was destroyed by a fire, the family moved in with Shirley… Along with Marcus allowed fans to vote on Twitter to decide which new tattoo the twins would get in the summer of 2014; the fans and brothers decided on a tattoo of a ribbon honoring their late grandmother… While at Kansas, was tutored by former Sun Danny Manning, who was coached at Kansas by Markieff’s first Suns coach, Alvin Gentry, a Jayhawk assistant in 1988 when Manning led the Jayhawks to a national title... Played football through 10th grade but switched to basketball after his mom told him he was too tall for football… Played wide receiver growing up, emulating Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice… Grew up a fan of Irvin, Emmitt Smith and the Dallas Cowboys … Would have pursued playing in the NFL if he wasn’t in the NBA… Favorite video game is Madden… Modeled his basketball game after Rasheed Wallace… Majored in American studies at Kansas...
