COLLEGE Was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team pick as a sophomore (the first Clemson guard to do so since Billy Williams in 1979-80) and a Second Team selection as a junior. Named to NABC All-District First Team as a sophomore and to Second Team as a junior. Owns 15 school records, including most points scored in consecutive seasons (1,218), most consecutive double-figure scoring games (52), largest scoring improvement over consecutive years (14.6 from 1998-99 to 1999-00) and most points by a sophomore (627). Ranks second all-time in school history in three-pointers (behind Terrell McIntyre). Ranked fourth in the league in scoring (19.7 ppg, 32nd nationally) as a junior. Scored in double figures in first 22 games and in 27 of 30 overall. Had five outings in which he scored at least 30 points, four coming against ranked teams. Set school record for three-pointers per game (3.17, 19th in nation). Posted season-high 41 points against Georgia Tech, the highest total of any ACC player this year and the sixth-highest mark in school history. As a sophomore, led the ACC in scoring (20.9 ppg) and ranked 16th in the nation. Was only ACC player to score in double figures in every game. Named ACC Player of the Week three times, more than any other Clemson player in history. Was only the third Clemson player in the last 30 years to lead team in scoring and assists (NBA guard Chris Whitney and McIntyre were the others). Had 33 points against Florida State, including 15 straight for Clemson in a four-minute stretch (a school record). Posted career-high 43 points against Virginia (14-of-21 from the field, including 8-for-12 from three-point range), the most points by a Tiger in almost 30 years. Tied a school record with eight three-pointers in that game. As a freshman, earned six starts. Scored 19 points vs. Duke in first college start. |
