- Played a key defensive role for the 2009-10 Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics, drawing postseason defensive assignments against Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, then- Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Orlando Magic guard Vince Carter.
- Selected by the Boston Celtics with the 25th overall pick of the 2004 NBA Draft by then-Celtics General Manager and current Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace.
- Was posting career-highs of 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.48 steals in 2006-07 before suffering a torn left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and torn left medial collateral ligament (MCL) on Jan. 10, 2007, ending his season.
- Earned Big 12 Player of the Year honors as a senior at Oklahoma State in 2003-04.
- Attended Chicago’s Crane High School, where he was a teammate of Detroit Pistons guard Will Bynum.
