BACKGROUND

Played only one season in college at Brigham Young University before opting to spend two years on a Mormon mission in Australia. Drafted second overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1993 Draft. One of the NBA's great shot-blockers has also played for the New Jersey Nets and the Dalllas Mavericks.

2003-04:

1997-98:
Registered 214 blocks and finished the season ranked third in the NBA at 3.34 blocked shots per game....Averaged 11.4 ppg on .422 shooting with 8.1 rebounds in 28.5 minutes....4/7/98 vs. Portland registered his sixth career triple-double, scoring 22 points with a career-high tying 22 rebounds and a career-high 13 blocks in 38 minutes off the bench....Became just the fifth player in NBA history and first off the bench to tally 20-plus points, 20-plus rebounds and 10-plus blocks in a single game (also Abdul-Jabbar, Olajuwon, Elvin Hayes, and Shaquille O'Neal)....That effort also established a club record for blocks in a game and an NBA season-high for blocks in a single game (and fourth highest total for a single game in NBA history)....Tallied 19 double-doubles....Blocked his 1,000th career shot vs. Milwaukee on 11/22/97.

1996-97:
Led the NBA in blocked shots with 3.40 per game, becoming the first Maverick to finish the season ranked first in a league-leader category....Registered career highs in points (13.2), rebounds (8.4) and minutes (31.3)....In 33 games with Dallas amassed 14.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.67 blocked shots in 32.1 minutes....4/14/97 vs. the Clippers tied a career-high with 32 points and grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds in 42 minutes....Broke Dallas' club record for points by a center with 32 points on 3/13/97 vs. Celtics.

1995-96:
Joined the New Jersey Nets on 11/30/95 as part of a six-player trade that sent Derrick Coleman to Philadelphia....Appeared in 67 games (57 starts) with the Nets, averaging 11.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.73 blocks....Recorded first career triple-double with 19 points, 17 rebounds and 11 blocks vs. Washington on 3/14/96....Registered two consecutive triple-doubles on 4/17/96 (11 points, 10 rebounds, 12 blocks) and 4/19/96 (17 points, 13 rebounds, 10 blocks)....Became the first NBA player to record double-figure blocks in two consecutive games on two separate....Career-high 32 points vs. Dallas on 3/5/96....Named Sheraton Meadowlands/Nets Defensive Player of the Year.

1994-95:
