- Moved to the Valley of the Suns in the summer of 2002, ironically before he signed with the Suns
- Has one older brother, Al, who he credits with getting his basketball career on the proper track
- Is one of the most well-liked players in the NBA
- Was active in the Milwaukee community while there, frequently speaking to local youth groups about positive life choices
- While with the Bucks formed a close relationship with current Sonics All-Star guard Ray Allen
- Used to have many superstitions but has since given them up
- *Idolized Julius Erving growing up as well as Suns legend and Hall of Famer Connie Hawkins
- Enjoys working with children
- Majored in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures at North Carolina
- Would like to become a broadcaster or coach following his playing career
- Hobbies include golf, dancing and reading
