Appeared in 55 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves, drawing 18 DNP- Coach’s Decisions and spending nine games (Dec. 1-16) on the Injured List with patellar tendinitis in his right knee. Averaged 4.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg. Posted season-highs with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Vancouver on 4/10. Surpassed the 3000 minute plateau on 3/12 vs. Miami and the 200 game plateau on 2/25 at Indiana.

1998-1999:

1996-1997:
Slater starred for the CBA's LaCrosse Bobcats for the first half of the season, averaging 22.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 30 games and shooting .610 from the field. At season's end he was named to the All-CBA First Team. His season wasn't confined to the CBA, however. On Jan. 25 he signed a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors, and he was signed for the remainder of the season on Feb. 3. He played in 26 games for Toronto, averaging career-highs of 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.6 minutes and shooting .550 from the field. The latter was the best on the team among players with at least 100 field goal attempts. He scored in double figures in nine of his 26 games, including the first four and the last four, and ranked sixth on the team in scoring. He scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in his debut with Toronto in a 120-84 victory over Portlandon Jan. 28, and had a career-high 21 points in the season finale, a 125-94 win at Boston on April 20. He twice grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, with 16 points in a 113-86 loss at Washington on March 28 and with 17 points in a 117-100 loss at Chicago on April 14.

1995-1996:
Slater played a total of 11 games for three NBA teams in 1995-96 and averaged 2.8 ppg and 1.4 rpg in 6.6 mpg. He opened the season with Portland but was waived on Dec. 8, then signed by Denver on Dec. 26 and waived on Jan. 5, then signed by Dallas on Jan. 10 and waived on Jan. 27. He also played five games for the Chicago Rockers of the CBA, averaging 16.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg.

1994-1995:
After two seasons in Spain, Slater signed as a free agent with the Denver Nuggets on September 6, but his NBA debut season was cut short by an injury. Slater tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in a February 19 game and spent the rest of the season on the sidelines. Prior to the injury he had appeared in 25 games and averaged 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per contest. He scored in double figures six times, including a team-high 16 points against the Orlando Magic on December 14. In that game he also nabbed 6 rebounds, tying his high for the season.

COLLEGE:
A strong rebounder and scorer, Reggie Slater capped his college career at Wyoming as the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year for 1991-92. Slater's college accomplishments were many: the only player to win three straight WAC rebounding titles; among the top 15 scorers in conference history; fourth all-time among Wyoming scorers; and the only Wyoming player to collect 1,000 career rebounds. The 6-7 forward averaged 19.2 points as a senior with the Cowboys in 1990-91 and had a four-year scoring average of 14.9 points per game.
