Full name is Ovinton J’Anthony Mayo… Parents are Alisha Mayo and Kenny Ziegler, who also played basketball at Huntington High School (W.Va.)… O.J. was given the name of Ovinton J’Anthony, as his grandfather was named Ovinton and his mother liked the name J’Anthony… Widely regarded as the top high school recruit of 2007, led Huntington High School (WV) to a 25-2 record, a third-straight state title and the highest-ever national ranking (No. 3) for a Mountain state team… Named EA Sports National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year and was a first-team selection for an unprecedented third consecutive season… His list of honors includes being named a McDonald’s All-American, a Parade All-American three times and a three-time member of USA Today’s All-USA basketball team… Named Ohio’s Mr. Basketball as a junior and a sophomore, becoming only the second sophomore to earn the honor (LeBron James)… Competed for the varsity squad as a seventh and eighth grader for Rose Hill Christian School, averaging 20.5 points as an eighth grader and 23.2 points as a seventh grader… Distributed 100 pairs of athletic shoes to children as part of the Refugee Empowerment Program in January 2010… A former Boys & Girls Club member as a youth, was the keynote speaker at the 39th Annual Steak ‘n Burger benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis in March 2010… Hosted first annual “O.J.
