2013-14 SEASON:
Appeared in all 82 games (one starts) in his third NBA season, averaged9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocks in 22.0 minutes... Tied season-high with 22 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3FG, 6-8 FT) and had team-high six rebounds at Sacramento in season finale on Apr. 16… Led Suns in scoring for second time on season with 16 points vs. L.A. 2011-12: In his first season with Houston, averaged 2.4 points and 0.9 rebounds in 17 games … was a DNP (CD) for 21 games (12/31/11; 2/20/12-2/28/12; 3/2/12-3/6/12; 3/10/12-3/13/12; 3/20/12; 3/24/12-3/27/12; 4/6/12; 4/9/12-4/13/12; 4/16/12-4/19/12) … placed on the inactive list for 28 games (1/3/12-2/19/12) … made his Rockets debut at Orlando (12/26/11) … assigned to Houston’s single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 3 … made his debut with the Vipers by posting 33 points (13-24 FG), 16 rebounds, five assists and two steals vs. Dakota (1/6/12) … suffered a right ankle sprain while with the Vipers, re-joining Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 3 after rehab … recalled from the Vipers on Feb. 20 … averaged 20.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.27 steals in 11 games (nine starts) with Rio Grande Valley … collected four points (2-2 FT) and one rebound at the L.A. Selected by Houston after his junior season at Kansas in the first round (14th overall pick) in the 2011 NBA Draft … signed by the Rockets on Dec. 12, 2011... Traded by the Houston Rockets to the Phoenix Suns for a 2013 second round draft pick on Feb. 21, 2013.

COLLEGE:
A three-year starter at Kansas, finished his career 25th on the all-time KU scoring list (1,371 points), 16th all-time in rebounds (676), ninth in double-doubles (19) and 12th on the single-season scoring list (654 points in 2010-11) … also concluded his career tied for 12th all-time at KU with a .555 (508-916 FG) field goal percentage … selected the Big 12 Player of the Year and the Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Player following a standout junior season … a Wooden Award Finalist and an Oscar Robertson Trophy finalist in 2010-11, added First-Team All-Big 12 accolades, as well as USBWA, NABC and AP All-America Second Team … averaged a team-leading 17.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in 2010-11, while finishing second in the Big 12 Conference in shooting percentage (.570 FG%, ranked 21st nationally) … as a sophomore, was chosen the 2009-10 Yahoo! Sports Most Improved Player and was selected to the Big 12 All-Improved Team by the media … also named All-Big 12 Second Team by the coaches in 2009-10 … in 2008-09, was a Big 12 All-Rookie Team selection after starting 22 games as a freshman … also led the Big 12 freshmen class in rebounding (4.7 rpg).

Born Marcus Morris on Sept. 2, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania … mother is Thomasine Morris … has four brothers, Donte, Blake, David and twin teammate at KU, Markieff … is just seven minutes younger than his twin brother … also chosen right after his twin in the 2011 NBA Draft (Markieff went 13th overall to Phoenix Suns) … Morris brothers were the third set of twins to be chosen in the first round of an NBA Draft, following Horace and Harvey Grant and Brook and Robin Lopez … Horace was the 10th overall pick of the Chicago Bulls in 1987, while Harvey went 12th to the Washington Bullets the next year … the New Jersey Nets chose Brook with the 10th pick in 2008, while Robin was selected just five spots later at 15 by the Phoenix Suns … majored in American studies at KU … voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in high school … averaged 24.8 points and eight rebounds in 2007-08 for APEX Academy (Pennsauken, NJ) … prior to APEX, led the Prep Charter High School Eagles to back-to-back State titles in 2006 and 2007.
