HOW LORENZEN BECAME A HAWK: Signed with the Hawks, re-joining the club after five seasons in Memphis, on August 30, 2006 • Traded by Atlanta to the Grizzlies, along with Brevin Knight and draft rights to Pau Gasol, in exchange for Shareef Abdur-Rahim on June 27, 2001 • Acquired by Atlanta from the L.A. Clippers, in exchange for two future first-round draft picks, on August 8, 1999 • Originally selected by the Clippers in the first round (seventh overall) of the 1996 NBA Draft.

  • Established the Sierra Simone Wright Scholarship Fund following the tragic death of his infant daughter in March 2003
