PLAYOFFS:2011-12: He made two appearances in each of the series vs. Orlando and Miami...in his postseason debut, he scored five points on 2-4 FG and 1-2 3-pt FG in four minutes of Game 3 at Orlando, 5/2...he had one point (1-2 FT) and an assist in five minutes of Game 6 vs. Orlando, 5/22...2010-11: He was on the inactive list for all five games in the first round series with Chicago. COLLEGE:2009-10: The 2010 Big East Conference Rookie of the Year, he ranked 28th overall in the conference in scoring (12.3 ppg) and was the league’s top freshman scorer...he finished the campaign with 13 points and six rebounds vs. Dayton in the second round of the NIT, 3/22...he added 14 points in the Bearcats’ first-round NIT game vs. Weber State, 3/17...he notched his seventh consecutive double-figure scoring effort with a game-high 19 points in the quarterfinals of the Big East Championship against West Virginia, 3/11...including the gamewinning free throw with less than two seconds to play, he poured in 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the first round of the Big East conference tournament against Rutgers, 3/9...he scored a season-best 23 points and made a season-high 11 field goals in 17 attempts at Georgetown, 3/6...he was named Big East Freshman of the Week for a third time on March 1 after averaging almost a double-double against DePaul, 2/24, and West Virginia, 2/27...he registered his first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, which included a season-best five offensive rebounds, in a win over DePaul, 2/24...he led UC to a win over Connecticut, 12/30, with 21 points in his Big East debut, including the go-ahead free throws with 0.7 seconds to play...he put together a terrific allaround performance with seven points, a season-high seven assists, and a season-high 11 rebounds against Texas Southern, 12/1. |

His full name is Lance Stephenson, Jr. and he is the son of Lance, Sr. and Bernadette Stephenson...he has one brother...a 2009 McDonald’s High School All-American, he averaged 28.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists as a senior at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., to earn Class AA New York State Sports Writers Association (NYSSWA) Player of the Year honors...a three-time NYSSWA first-team selection, he graduated high school as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the state of New York with 2,946 points, surpassing fellow Lincoln High grad Sebastian Telfair, who was the 13th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft...in 2009, he led Lincoln to an overall record of 22-11 and an unprecedented fourth consecutive Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Class AA championship...he scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 78-56 victory over John F. Kennedy in the league championship game...he led the Railsplitters to state semifinals appearances his final three seasons, including Federation Tournament championships in 2007 and 2008. |
