Recorded two double-doubles. Missed 40 games with a broken bone in his right foot and a strained right ankle tendon.


    2003-04:
    Third NBA season (Washington): In 74 games with 57 starts, averaging career-highs of 10.9 points and 7.4 rebounds along with 1.5 assists and 0.89 steals in 30.3 minutes per game while shooting 48.9% from the floor and 68.3% from the line.     OFF THE COURT:

    Is the seventh of eight children. Signed a letter of intent with the University of Florida before declaring for the 2001 NBA Draft. Had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks in the 2001 McDonald's All-American Game. Selected First Team All-USA by USA Today and First Team All-American by Parade Magazine as a high school senior at Glynn Academy in Georgia. Named High School Player of the Year in Georgia after averaging 20.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.8 blocks, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals as a senior.
    Personal

    		Is the seventh of eight children… Has been affiliated with the National Kidney Foundation since 2001, working to help raise awareness for kidney disease, the need for a cure, the importance of early detection and the need for organ donation... Is actively involved in his home state of Georgia by donating sneakers to various charities, supplying t-shirts and basketballs to Georgia high schools and financing several schoolmates through college and providing them with laptops and cash for books... Met fans and helped with the NBA Skills Challenge competition while participating in the NBA Nation Tour (a mobile playground traveling the country coast-to-coast) during its stop in Los Angeles in the summer of 2007.
