Selected by the Orlando Magic in the first round (13th pick overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft, but his draft rights were traded to the Denver Nuggets on January 21, 1999. Traded by the Nuggets to the Toronto Raptors where he made his presence felt with his lanky body and long arms to become one of the league's best shot blockers. Signed as a free agent by the Sacramento Kings before the 2002-03 season.

1998-99:
Played in 28 of 30 games as a rookie, with two DNP-CDs, before missing the final 20 games of the season because of a partially collapsed lung....Placed on the injured list on 4/1/99....Averaged 3.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg and 1.11 bpg in a reserve role....Posted career-highs in points (13, 5-5 FG) and blocked shots (six), and added four rebounds in a 110-84 win over the Vancouver Grizzlies on 3/15/99....Totaled eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots against the San Antonio Spurs on 3/7/99....Made his NBA debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves on 2/5/99.
COLLEGE:
Played two seasons of junior college ball and one full season and part of a second season at UNLV....Averaged 22.6 ppg and 20.5 rpg in 23 games for Irvine Valley College in 1994-95 and 15.2 ppg and 11.1 rpg in 17 games for Dixie College in 1995-96 before transferring to UNLV....Named to the All-Western Athletic Conference First Team, the All-Defensive Team and the All-Newcomer Team in 1996-97 when he led the WAC with 112 blocked shots (3.86 bpg, the first player in UNLV history to post 100 or more blocks in a season) and was the team's leading rebounder at 10.0 rpg and second-leading scorer at 14.8 ppg....As a senior, played 10 games, averaging 14.8 ppg (including a career-high 28 points against Air Force), 8.6 rpg and 2.60 bpg, before he was suspended for violating team rules....Did not play for UNLV the remainder of the season, although in the postseason Nike Desert Classic he averaged 12 ppg and eight rpg and shot 56 percent from the field to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
