2009-10:
The Carmel, Indiana native made appearances in just six of the team's first 27 games, totaling seven points and six rebounds in 29 minutes…he then played in seven straight games from 12/26 to 1/5, including the first two starts of his NBA career…as a starter for the first time ever, he scored seven points with eight rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in 25 minutes of the Pacers' win over Minnesota, 1/2…he also started the game at New York the next night, 1/3, scoring six points (3-5 FGS) with five rebounds and an assist…scoreless in the first of those seven games, he then averaged 6.5 ppg in the next six, including 10 points on 4-7 FGS and 2-3 FTS in the game with Memphis, 12/30…in those six games, he shot 15-29 from the floor and hit the first two 3-pt FGS of his NBA career…his first career 3-pt field goal came at Chicago, 12/29, where he totaled nine points…following the game with Orlando, 1/5, he made just eight appearances in 25 games through the end of February…but, he got an opportunity to play extended minutes against the Lakers in Los Angeles in the opening game of March and he made the most of it…against the Lakers, he scored what was then a career-high with 15 points on 7-12 FGS and 1-2 FTS…in 23 minutes against the Lakers, he added four rebounds, an assist and two steals…that was the first of a 23-game stretch in which he would see action in all but two…in his final 21 games, he averaged 5.6 ppg and shot .538 from the floor…he also canned 6-15 from 3-pt range (.400) in those 21 games…in his last 21 games, he averaged 3.7 rpg and 1.4 apg, while committing just eight turnovers in 302 minutes (14.4 mpg)…after having scored in double figures once in his first 21 games of the season, and just three times in 62 career games, he scored 10 or more points five times in the last two months of 2009-10, including a career-best 18 points on 8-9 FGS and 2-3 3-pt FGS vs. Houston, 4/4…that was his first game with more than one 3-pt field goal…he logged a career-high 33 minutes against the Rockets and added a career-high tying 12 boards…in the five games that followed he totaled 21 points, but hit 8-17 from the floor and 5-10 FTS…he also averaged 3.8 rpg and 15.2 mpg in the season's last five games…in his first 21 games he averaged under two and a half rebounds a game (2.4), but gathered in 77 rebounds in his last 21 games (3.7 rpg)…in his final 21 games, he collected 26 offensive rebounds--nearly twice as many as he had (14) in his first 21 games…he had more than two total rebounds six times in his first 21 games, including five times in that stretch of seven straight appearances in December and January…in his last 21 games, however, he had at least four rebounds nine times and recorded a career-high 12 boards twice…registering the second double-double of his career, he had 14 points and 12 boards against the Wizards, 3/24…those 12 rebounds featured a career-best five offensive rebounds…he notched his second double-double of the season vs. Houston with 18 points and 12 rebounds…for the season, he averaged 1.0 apg, but dealt 15 (2.5 apg) in the season's final six games…in that span, he led the Pacers with a career-high five assists at Cleveland, 4/9, while committing no turnovers in 20 minutes…in the season finale at Washington, 4/14, he logged just 13 minutes, but had four assists and no miscues…in all, he had more than two assists on six occasions, including three in games at Chicago, 12/29; vs. Memphis, 12/30; and at Dallas, 2/22…he had four assists at Denver, 3/5…in his 31 appearances through 3/31 he had blocked just six shots and rejected more than one just one time…beginning with his two blocks vs. Washington, 3/24, he blocked seven shots in the space of four games, including two against the Wizards, a season-high three vs. Utah, 3/26, and two vs. Sacramento, 3/30…though he would have just three more blocked shots the rest of the season, those three came in three successive games (4/4 to 4/9) and that was the first time in 2009-10 that he had at least one blocked shot in three straight games…he was one of five Indiana players to not miss a game due to injury or illness in 2009-10.
2008-09:
The Carmel, Indiana native was acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers in the deal that brought Jarrett Jack and the draft rights to Brandon Rush to the Pacers, in exchange for Ike Diogu and the draft rights to Jerryd Bayless, 7/9…following five straight DNP-CDs to start the season, he made his regular season debut for the Pacers vs. Oklahoma City, 11/10, scoring two points with a rebound, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot in 10 minutes…that was his first career rejection and just his second steal…he made appearances in two of the next three games, but then drew six straight DNP-CDs before playing in six staight, and 11 of the next 13 from 11/29 through 12/23…in the Pacers' win at Philadelphia, 12/20, he scored in double figures for the first time in the NBA with 10 points on 5-12 FGS…he added eight boards in that game, including three offensive rebounds--which was more than he had claimed in eight games with Portland the season before…that was the second game of a streak of eight straight appearances with at least two rebounds…after fouling out in just five scoreless minutes vs. Toronto, 1/16, he did not make an appearance in 16 straight games, and played in just two of the next 28 games…in those two appearances, he scored two points (1-1 FG) with a rebound in just over two minutes (2:12)…beginning with a 10-minute stint vs. his former team, in which he scored two points and collected four rebounds against the Blazers, 3/18, he saw action in all but two of the team's final 14 games…in those 12 appearances, he scored as many points (40) as he had in his first 21 outings…after hitting 18 of his first 48 from the floor (.375), he shot 17-35 FGS (.486) in his last 12 games…in his last 12, he scored in double figures twice, including a career-high 12 points on 5-8 FGS and 2-2 FTS vs. Toronto, 4/8…he added a career-high 11 rebounds against the Raptors for his first career double-double…he also scored 10 points vs. Chicago, 3/31, on 4-6 from the floor and 2-3 from the foul line…in the season's last month, he had 11 offensive rebounds in 12 games, including two each in games at Oklahoma City, 4/5, vs. Toronto, 4/8, and vs. Milwaukee, 4/15…prior to April, he had more than one offensive board four times in 21 games…of his 16 blocked shots in 2008-09, more than half (9) came in three games and those were his only games with more than one blocked shot…matching his total of the first 12 games, he blocked a four shots at Philadelphia, 12/20…he blocked two shots vs. Toronto, 4/8, and then rejected three in the season finale vs. the Bucks, 4/15…
2007-08
Averaged 1.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 3.5 minutes in eight games … Scored two points and grabbed a season-high four rebounds April 15 vs. Memphis … Scored a season-high six points (3-5 FG) and pulled down two rebounds Feb. 8 at Detroit ... Scored four points (2-2 FG), grabbed a rebound and collected a steal in two minutes Dec. 30 vs. Philadelphia … Assigned to Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League April 17 for the D-League playoffs, after the Trail Blazers ended their season … Averaged 7.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 26.8 minutes in 15 games (two stints) with the Stampede during the regular season … In his second stint, averaged 7.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.43 blocked shots and 27.0 minutes in seven games (Assigned March 17, recalled April 7) ...
