Personal: Full name is John Harding Lucas III son of Debbie and John Lucas Jr. scored more than 3,300 points as a three-year starter at Bellaire High School averaged 18.3 ppg while leading Bellaire to the District 17-5A Championship as a junior played at Bellaire High School with Charlotte Bobcats forward/center Emeka Okafor an accomplished tennis player, he was the District 17-5A singles champion as a prep junior and was nationally ranked as a USTA Junior National player was a Texas Scholar in high school, as well as a member of the Bellaire Student Association and Business Professionals of America his father was an All-American for the Maryland Terrapins and was the first pick of the 1976 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets his father spent 14 years playing in the NBA for Houston, Golden State, Washington, San Antonio, Milwaukee and Seattle; and later coached in the NBA, serving as head coach for San Antonio (1992-94), Philadelphia (1994-96) and Cleveland (2001-03) wears the same jersey No. 15 as his father did with the Rockets. |
