2005-06:
After missing the first 14 games with a sore left Achilles, he averaged a career-high 9.1 rpg and was one of the best offensive rebounders in the NBA with an average of 3.612 orpg in 63 games…that was third best in the league behind Ben Wallace (3.703) and Emeka Okafor (3.615) He grabbed 224 offensive rebounds, which ranked 11th best in the NBA and seventh in the Eastern Conference. He has had 200 or more offensive rebounds in a season four times in his career, including the last three in a row. He became just the 10th player in franchise history, and the fourth in the team's NBA history, to accumulate 1,000 offensive rebounds in his career with the second of his three at Minnesota, 1/20. He had two games with a team season-high 10 offensive rebounds: vs. Milwaukee, 2/15, and at Houston, 3/8. The game at Houston was the first of an eight-game stretch in which he had at least six offensive rebounds seven times and averaged 6.75 orpg. He came up 10 rebounds short (2,990) of becoming the 15th player in franchise history with 3,000 rebounds in his career. He was second on the team with seven double-doubles and just missed four others with 15 points and nine boards at Memphis, 3/21; 10 points and nine rebounds at Chicago, 4/4, and nine points, 12 rebounds vs. Toronto, 4/5 and 11 boards and nine points vs. Orlando, 4/19. He also had four games in which he had at least eight rebounds and at least eight points. In his last 28 games, he had 10+ rebounds 17 times and averaged 10.8 rpg. He had at least nine boards in 18 of his last 22 games. He scored in double figures 11 times, including a career-high tying 19 points at Toronto, 3/12…in that game, he shot 8-10 from the floor. His 15 points vs. the Lakers, 2/1, gave him 2,000 in his NBA career. For the season, he shot a team-leading 55.2 percent (138-250) from the floor, which would have ranked fifth best in the team's NBA history with enough field goals made (150) to qualify. Fifth on the team with 27 blocked shots, he registered at least 20 rejections for the fifth time in the last six seasons…his 27 blocks tied his most of the last four campaigns. He had 41 steals in 2005-06, giving him 301 in his career and making him the 26th player in franchise history to capture 300 or more steals in his career. He started 37 of 63 games and averaged 6.4 ppg and 10.4 rpg as a starter. In 26 games off the bench, he scored 5.3 ppg and hauled in 7.2 rpg He shot nearly 60 percent from the floor (49-82, .598) in his 26 games off the bench, while shooting 89-168 FGS (.530) as a starter. He missed the last two games of January with back spasms and three games in April (4/14-17) with a sore lower back.
2004-05:
Averaged career-bests of 7.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg in 61 games. ... Started 38 of his first 40 games and a total of 43 games. ... As a starter, averaged 8.4 ppg and 9.8 rpg. ... In third game of the season, collected a career-high 18 rebounds, including a club record-tying 12 offensive rebounds vs. Sacramento, 12/11.
