2013-14 SEASON:
Split the season between the Perth Wildcats of the Australian Basketball League and Piratas de Quebradillas of the Puerto Rican National Superior Basketball League…appeared in 33 games (32 starts) with the Perth Wildcats and averaged 21.2 points (.466 FG%, .770 FT%), 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.42 steals and 31.7 minutes…was named the All-Australian NBL Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, Import Player of the Year, First Team and All-Imports Team…earned the Gordon Ellis Medal, the team’s MVP honor…finished third in the league’s MVP voting…was named Player of the Month for October…team won the 2014 Australian Basketball League Championship...appeared in 12 games (all starts) with Piratas de Quebradillas of the Puerto Rican National Superior Basketball League and averaged 16.6 points (.470 FG%, .762 FT%), 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.75 steals, 1.00 blocks and 33.6 minutes.

Played two seasons at Long Beach State after spending his freshman year at Oxnard College, a junior college in Oxnard, CA and his sophomore year at Ventura College, a junior college in Ventura, CA…appeared in 67 career games (66 starts) at Long Beach State and averaged 13.2 points (.493 FG%, .788 FT%), 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.67 steals, 1.03 blocks and 31.0 minutes…despite playing just two seasons for the 49ers, he finished fifth all-time in free throw percentage, fifth in blocks (69) and ninth in rebounds (582)…as a senior, he appeared in 33 games (32 starts) and averaged 16.5 points (.491 FG%, .834 FT%), 6.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.76 steals, 1.30 blocks and 33.1 minutes…was named the Big West Conference Player of the Year and an AP honorable mention All-American…earned All-Big West Conference First Team honors…named a Lou Henson All-American…was a finalist for the Lou Henson Award, given annually to the top mid-major player…helped lead the team to the Big West Conference regular season title…led the team in scoring average and rebounds per game…among Big West leaders in conference play, he ranked first in steals per game (2.27), third in free throw percentage (.851), fourth in blocks per game (1.22), fifth in scoring average (17.3), seventh in field goal percentage (.540), eighth in minutes per game (33.3) and ninth in rebounds per game (6.3)…scored in double-figures in each of his 33 games played…posted nine 20-point games…posted a 29-point, 15-rebound double-double vs. BYU-Hawaii on Dec. 15…as a junior, appeared in 34 games (all starts) and averaged 10.0 points (.498 FG%, .711 FT%), 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.59 steals and 29.0 minutes…was an All-Big West Conference honorable mention…led team in blocks…scored 16 points and recorded a career-high six steals at Kansas on Dec. 6…as a sophomore at Ventura College, appeared in 27 games and averaged 20.3 points (.585 FG%, .795 FT%), 7.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.59 steals and 1.04 blocks…named All-California Community College Athletic Association First Team…named to the All-Western State Conference First Team…was named Western State Conference Player of the Week five times…led team in points (549), assists (134), steals (43), blocks (28), field goals made (308) and free throws made (159)…as a freshman at Oxnard College, averaged 19.0 points and 7.7 rebounds…named to the All-Western State Conference First Team.

Full name is James Alfred Ennis, III…earned the nickname “Ennis the Menace” in college…parents are Denise Taylor and James Ennis…has two brothers (Jamar Ennis and Jammal Ennis) and three sisters (Dorthra Ennis, Demetra Ennis and Katona Ennis)…his cousin Lorenzo Booker was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft and played running back for the Dolphins, Eagles and Vikings during his NFL career…majored in African Studies…won the Western State Conference and Southern California Regional championships in the high jump, clearing 6’11”…when his playing career is over he would like to coach and start his own travel team…in his free time he enjoys spending time with his brothers…played soccer growing up as a kid and used to enjoy skateboarding and rollerblading…wears size 13 sneakers.
