1996-97 SEASON: Rose was primarily used off the bench in his first season with Indiana, playing in 66 games and making six starts....Scored in double figures 23 times, including six of the last nine games of the season, a period in which he averaged 11.6 ppg and shot .495....Also had at least three assists in seven of those nine games. For the season, however, he averaged 7.3 ppg and 2.3 apg, numbers that were down significantly from the previous year....Tied his career high of 21 points in a 104-92 loss to Atlanta on April 11 and had 20 points in a 110-107 overtime win over New York on April 14. He led Indiana in assists nine times, getting a season-high 11 in a 92-89 victory at Milwaukee on Jan. 21....In his six games as a starter, Rose averaged 10.8 ppg and 4.8 apg, shooting .542 from the field.

1995-96 SEASON:
Rose started the last 25 games of the season and 37 overall, leading the Nuggets in assists for the second year in a row and posting a career-high 6.2 apg to go with his 10.0 ppg, which was also a career high....Recorded nine double-doubles on the season and handed out a career-high 16 assists three times....Reached double figures in assists 13 times for the second year in a row and barely missed his first career triple-douible with 19 points, a career-high 10 rebounds and 9 assists against Houston on 4/7....Shot 7-for-7 from the field in that game, which matched his season's scoring high....Rose led the Nuggets in assists a team-high 46 times, including 21 of the last 25 games.... Set a career high with six blocks against Boston on 2/18....After the season, Rose was traded to Indiana with Reggie Williams in exchange for Mark Jackson, Ricky Pierce and a swap of first-round drafting positions.

1994-95 SEASON:
Rookie Jalen Rose's role increased as the Denver Nuggets' season advanced in 1994-95....After coming off the bench for much of the first half of the season, Rose saw his playing time increase after the All-Star break and went on to set a franchise record for assists by a rookie with 389. Rose wound up starting 37 games-most of which came after Robert Pack went down with an injury in February-and missed only 1 contest all year....At season's end he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team....Playing 22.2 minutes per game, Rose was Denver's second-leading playmaker (behind Pack) with 4.8 assists per game....Scored 8.2 points per game and recorded eight double-doubles in points and assists, including a 14-point, 16-assist outburst on 3/16 against the Sacramento Kings....His highest-scoring game of the season came against the Atlanta Hawks on 3/8, when he touched the Hawks for 21 points....Played in the Rookie Game game at NBA All-Star Weekend, scoring 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor....Started all three playoff games in a first-round loss to the San Antonio Spurs, playing 33.0 minutes per game and averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 assists....Also upped his rebounding average to 3.7 boards per game in the brief postseason....Led both teams in assists in Game 2 with 10.

COLLEGE:
Leader on the court for the University of Michigan's "Fab Five," a group that made two trips to the NCAA title game....At 6-8, Rose has a unique combination of size and skill and seems comfortable at either backcourt position as well as small forward....Despite playing only three collegiate seasons, Rose finished his Michigan career as one of only two players in school history to record 1,500 points, 400 rebounds, 300 assists, and 100 steals....Ranks sixth on the Wolverines' all-time list with 1,788 points, fifth in assists with 401 and fourth in steals with 114. In his junior year he averaged 19.9 points and 3.9 assists and was named an Associated Press Second-Team All-American....Started every game in his Michigan career except one; in that game, a victory over Iowa, the freshman guard came off the bench to score 34 points.
