2013-14 SEASON:
Spent majority of the season with the Houston Rockets … appeared in 11 games and averaged 3.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg in 9.1 mpg and shot .643 from the field and .400 from the line … signed with the Bulls as a free agent (04/14) after being waived by the Rockets (04/10) … missed 57 games with a sprained right knee, continued soreness and arthroscopic procedure … recorded 39 DND’s, 11 NWT’s and spent eight games on the team’s Inactive List (two with Chicago).

2012-13: In his second season with Houston, averaged 6.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in 70 games (10 starts) … placed on the inactive list for two games (11/2/12- 11/3/12) due to sore left foot … was a DNP (CD) for six games (11/7/12-11/9/12; 11/12/12; 2/2/13; 2/6/13; 3/6/13) … NWT for one game (1/21/13) due to family reasons … also inactive for three additional games (2/10/13-2/13/13) while on D-League assignment … recorded his first two career 20-point performances and the first two double-doubles of his career … added six double-digit rebounding games … led (or tied) the Rockets in rebounds seven times … dished out a career-best four assists vs. Detroit (11/10/12) … registered a career-high 21 points (7-8 FG, 7-8 FT) to go with nine rebounds and two blocks in a 107-105 win vs. the L.A. 2011-12: In his rookie season with Houston, averaged 1.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.63 blocks in eight games … inactive for 23 games (2/8/12-2/17/12; 3/22/12-4/22/12) … DNP (CD) for six games (2/22/12; 3/2/12; 3/11/12-3/13/12; 3/18/12-3/20/12) … was also placed on the inactive list for three games (3/6/12-3/10/12) with a bruised tailbone … signed from Houston’s single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 8, marking the first GATORADE Call-Up of his career … assigned by the Rockets back to the Vipers on Feb. 9 … recalled from Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 19 … re-assigned to the Vipers on Mar. 21 … rejoined the Rockets on Apr. 8 following the conclusion of Rio Grande Valley’s season … posted a game-high four blocks and three boards in his NBA debut vs. Utah (2/19/12) … added three rebounds vs. the L.A. Clippers (3/4/12) … suffered a bruised tailbone at practice (3/5/12) … finished out his rookie season with a career-best eight points (4-6 FG) and a career-high 10 rebounds vs. New Orleans (4/26/12) … also averaged 1.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in two preseason games with the Rockets … named 2011-12 All-NBA D-League First Team and 2011-12 D-League All-Rookie First Team … selected as a 2012 NBA D-League All-Star … overall, averaged 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.15 blocks in 26 games (21 starts) with the Vipers … finished as the 2011-12 D-League leader in field goal percentage (.668, 185-277 FG) … also tied for 10th in the D-League in double-doubles (10), tied for 10th in rebounding average (7.8) and was 16th in blocks per game (1.15).

Went undrafted in the 2011 NBA Draft … signed by Houston as a training camp invitee on Dec. 13, 2011 … waived by the Rockets on Dec. 22, 2011 … later signed from Houston’s single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 8, 2012 ... Waived by the Houston Rockets on April 10, 2014 ... Signed a contract for the rest of the season with the Chicago Bulls on April 14, 2014.

Averaged 11.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks as a sophomore at Fresno State in 2010-11 … was also the 2009-10 WAC Freshman of the Year, which was voted on by the WAC head coaches.

Born Greg Smith on Jan. 8, 1991, in Vallejo, California … raised in Fresno, California … most admires his mother, Cheryl Duckworth, because she taught him to never give up … has one older sister, Ashely, and one younger brother, Divante … his uncle, Steve Shelley, was a two-year football letterwinner (1988-89) as a wide receiver at Fresno State and signed with the NFL’s San Diego Chargers in 1990 … enjoys playing basketball and video games … favorite athletes are Michael Jordan and LeBron James because of their drive … biggest athletic thrill is dunking on people … earned All-Arizona State honors at Westwind Prep Academy and was nominated for the McDonald’s All-America Team … previously attended Edison High School, where he was named 2009 Central Valley Fresno Bee Player of the Year.
