Scored 32 points in 85 minutes for an average of 2.1 ppg in 5.7 mpg... Went on the IL on Dec. 2 due to lower back spasms and was not activated until April 15... Not on Indiana's postseason roster.
COLLEGE:
Nicknamed "The Mayor" because of his popularity in Ames, Iowa, Hoiberg finished his career at Iowa State ranked third in school history in scoring (1,993 points, trailing NBA players Jeff Grayer and Barry Stevens), first in three-point field goals made (183) and attempted (457), third in steals (207), fifth in assists (350) and sixth in rebounding (748, 5.9 rpg). He scored a game-high 20 points in the NABC All-Star Game at the Final Four, hitting 6-for-10 from three-point range. Hoiberg earned an honorable mention All-America selection by the Associated Press, Big Eight Conference coaches and Basketball Weekly. He led the Cyclones in scoring his last two years, averaging 20.2 ppg as a junior and 19.9 ppg as a senior. He was chosen to the 1995 GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team and he earned First Team Academic All-Big Eight honors for three straight seasons.
