Rookie NBA season (Philadelphia)...saw action in 35 games and scoring 52
total points...was a DNP-CD in 36 and missed 11 games due to injury...placed
on the injured list with a low back strain on Dec. 3 and spent five games on
the injured list before being activated from the injured list prior to the
Indiana game (12/15)...also missed five game games with the flu (1/7 to
1/23) and one game due to a stomach virus (3/26)...had his best game of the
season versus New Jersey (2/5), setting or tying season-highs in points
(nine), rebounds (three) and minutes (10)...scored a then season-high three
points versus Denver (12/15)...made his Sixers debut versus Cleveland
(11/8), entering the game 3:29 remaining in the fourth quarter...finished
with two points on 1-2 shooting...
2003 PLAYOFFS...first appearance in the

Initially drafted in 1996 by the Denver Nuggets with the 23rd
overall selection, but did not play in the NBA...rights were traded to
Atlanta on Sept. 29, 1997...rights were obtained by the 76ers from the
Atlanta Hawks on June 26, 2002 for second-round draft picks in 2004 and
2006...signed with the Sixers on July 2, 2002...began his professional
career with PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece) in 1994-95 before transferring to
FC Barcelona in 1997-98...a member of the Greek national team from
1994-2002...competed in the 1996 Olympic Games, marking the first ever
appearance by Greece's men's basketball team in a Summer
Olympics...averaged 5.0 points and 4.1 rebounds in 12 minutes per game
over seven contests in the Olympic Games...played in the European
Championships in 1995, 1997, and 2001...played in the 1997 Greek All-Star
Game...with FC Barcelona won the 1999 and 2001 Asociacion Clubes de
