Full name is Earl Daniel Barron, Jr…is the son of Jeraldean Barron and the late Earl Barron…has one sister (Candace Barron)…his cousin Jerod Ward played basketball at the University of Michigan…lists his mother Jeraldean as the person who has made a difference for him, always encouraging and supporting him his entire life both on and off the court…graduated from the University of Memphis in four years with a degree in business management in May of 2003…would like to start his own business when he is done playing…is not currently involved with any charity groups but would like to eventually get involved with St. Jude…welcomed students back to Riverside Elementary School for the first day of classes in August of 2005 and helped distribute school supplies to the children…in his free time he likes to play tennis, billiards, ping-pong and go bowling and fishing…likes to listen to hip-hop, R&B and gospel music and lists Young Geezy and Eminem among his favorite artists…lists Friday After Next, Rush Hour 2 and Wedding Crashers among his favorite movies and pasta and pizza as his favorite foods…chose the Bahamas as his dream vacation spot…was a guard in junior high school before going on a growth spurt….played just nine minutes for the entire season as a ninth grader on his junior high school team…his pre-game ritual includes listening to music and saying a small prayer…wears a size 16 shoe.
