Father, Vittorio, played professional basketball in Italy for a number of teams and was a Milan teammate and roommate of Knicks Head Coach Mike D’Antoni for eight years. Quoting Danilo on his dad: “Growing up we didn’t talk a lot about basketball. We always talked about the other things that happen in life and happen during the day, but not a lot about basketball.
