    Mills ranked second on the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.4 points and a career-high 6.2 rebounds in a team-high 39.6 minutes per game. His 2.5 assists ad 1.08 steals per game also were career highs, and his 86 three-pointers made and .391 shooting percentage from behind the arc (24th in the NBA) were just off the career highs of 94 and .392 which he set two years ago...He scored 20 points or more in 16 games, and the Cavaliers won 11 of them...He twice burned Philadelphia for a season-high 25 points, in a 105-89 win on Nov. 15 and a 125-118 win on April 12, and he led the Cavs in scoring 10 times and rebounding on 13 occasions...One of his best overall games came in a 93-73 win at New York on April 8, when he played 47 minutes and had 21 points (including three three-pointers), 12 rebounds and six assists...Mills' total of 3,167 minutes was the second-highest in Cavs history and marked the third year in a row he has led the team in minutes played...That despite the fact that he sat out two games, on Jan. 29 vs. Charlotte due to inflammation of his left heel and on March 20 vs. the Lakers due to a sinus infection...He also ranked 21st in the NBA in free throw percentage with a career-high .842.

    Mills improved his scoring average for the third straight year to a career-high 15.1 points per game, second-highest on the Cavs, shooting a career-high .468 from the field...His free throw percentage of .829 also was a career high, ranking 29th in the NBA...He started 80 games for Cleveland, missing one because of a surgery to repair a fractured nose and one when he was suspended by the NBA for an altercation with Miami's Sasha Danilovic...Mills also averaged a career-high 5.5 rebounds game, tied for second-highest on the team, and had 2.4 assists in a team-high 38.3 minutes per game...His 3,060 minutes played were the fifth highest in team history, and he played the entire 58 minutes of a double overtime game against Seattle on March 5...Mills scored a career-high 30 points against Boston on March 14 and had 20 or more points on 20 occasions, the Cavs going 16-4 in those games...He led the team in scoring 14 times and hit the game-winning basket against Milwaukee on Nov. 25 with 0.3 seconds left...He reached double figures in rebounds four times and led the team nine times, and matched his career high of seven assists at Toronto on Feb. 15...In three postseason outings against New York, Mills averaged 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in 35.0 minutes per game, shooting only .333 from the field.

    1994-95:
    Playing in his second NBA campaign, Mills saw his playing time increase for the injury-depleted Cleveland Cavaliers...A starter throughout the season, he led the team in minutes played (2,814) and was first on the club in field-goals attempted (855) and second in field-goals made (359)...He averaged 12.3 points, a jump of nearly 3 points compared with his rookie year...He also performed well from beyond the three-point line, hitting 94 of 240 attempts for a .392 percentage, 24th in the NBA...Mills scored 20 points or more eight times during the year, including an outing on March 25 against the Charlotte Hornets in which he scored a career-high 26...On February 16 he hit 10 of 16 field-goal attempts, passed for a career-high 7 assists, and scored 23 points against the Milwaukee Bucks...Two nights later he struck for 23 points against the New Jersey Nets, hitting 6 of 9 three-point attempts...Mills was one of the steadiest performers in the Cavs brief appearance in the playoffs...Cleveland squared off against New York in the first round but yielded to the Knicks in four games...Mills ranked third on the team in scoring for the series (13.3 ppg), and his game-winning three-pointer in Game 2 gave the Cavs their only victory.

    1993-94:
    He started the first 18 games of the season for the Cavs before moving to the bench for the rest of the year...In 79 appearances overall he averaged 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds...He scored a season-high 22 points against the Portland Trail Blazers on December 7 and grabbed 14 rebounds against the Bucks at Milwaukee on April 16...Along with guard Bobby Phills and forward Tyrone Hill, Mills formed part of a hustling trio of unsung players affectionately dubbed the Law Firm: Hill, Mills, and Phills by the Cleveland coaching staff.

    COLLEGE:
    Mills spent his first collegiate season at Kentucky...He then transferred to Arizona, where he put in three fine seasons, leaving school as the Wildcats' No. 4 all-time scorer...In 1993 he was named the Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year for a senior season in which he averaged 20.4 points and 7.6 rebounds...He started every college game he ever played in, including 32 at the University of Kentucky as a freshman and then 94 in three seasons at the University of Arizona.
