  • An active participant in Lakers Community Relations programs such as “Fishing with the Lakers” and the team’s annual “Lakers Thanksgiving Celebration”
  • Serves as Honorary Chair of the annual HOLA Bowla bowling tournament which benefits the Central City Athletic Association, an organization that provides inner-city youth basketball and soccer leagues for over 2,000 athletes
  • Founded “Cook’s All-Stars” in January of 2007, partnering with Character Counts! and the Lennox School District to invite students who demonstrate outstanding character to a Lakers home game. Students who participate in Character Counts! learn about the 6 pillars of good character; Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship and are able to come out to a Lakers game and have a meet and greet with Brian pre-game
