Nicknamed “The Custodian” during his rookie season for his willingness to do the “dirty work” and for the way he cleans the floors by diving for loose balls • Married to Danielle • Along with former teammate Shane Battier, hosted the second annual Staxtacular event last season, a fundraiser to benefit the Stax Music Academy • Has participated in numerous Grizzlies youth basketball camps since coming to Memphis • Was active in Warriors community programs while with Golden State, helping serve food during the Warriors Thanksgiving Holiday Caravan at Patrick David’s in Danville, distributing Christmas gifts to children during Warriors Holiday Outreach at Salvation Army in Oakland, participating in Warriors “Kids Day” Celebration and taking part in the Warriors “Read to Achieve” event at San Leandro Library • His father Rod has been the head basketball trainer at the University of Illinois for almost 30 years • Was a ballboy for the 1989 Illinois team that advanced to the NCAA Final Four.
