    BACKGROUND

    Though undrafted after earning NAIA All-American honors at Pfeiffer, Antonio Harvey started for the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night in 1993 and went on to play in 86 games over two seasons with the Lakers. He has since played for Vancouver, the Clippers, Seattle and Portland in the NBA as well as in Italy, Greece and the USBL. Harvey averaged 18.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game as a senior at Pfeiffer in 1992-93 and was named the Carolina Conference Player of the Year. He spent one year at Southern Illinoi, then attended Connors State J.C. in Oklahoma before enrolling at Georgia in 1990. He averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs n 1990-91 before transferring to Pfeiffer, when he played two seasons and blossomed as a senior.

    After being bypassed in the 1993 NBA draft, he played for the Atlanta Eagles of the USBL over the summer before signing with the Lakers as a free agent. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in 27 appearances in 1993-94, then played in 59 games in 1994-95 and averaged 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He was selected by the Vancouver Grizzlies in the 1995 NBA Expansion Draft, waived by the Grizzlies on Dec. 28, 1995 and signed by the Clippers on Jan. 3, 1996. He played in a total of 55 games for the two teams in 1995-96, averaging career-highs of 3.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

    He signed with Seattle as a free agent and played in six games in 1996-97, averaging 2.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game, before being waived on Jan. 5, 1997. He spent the rest of that season playing in Italy, and the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons playing in Greece.

    He returned to the NBA with Portland in 1999-2000, signing as a free agent before the start of the season. He played in 19 games for the Blazers, averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He missed much of the season due to an injured right knee and underwent arthroscopic surgery on Feb. 17, 2000.

    2000-2001 REGULAR SEASON
    Averaged 2.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12 games...Had season-highs of 15 points, 6 rebounds and 34 minutes against the Spurs in the season finale April 17...Had 8 points on 4-5 shooting and 2 blocks in 13 minutes at Golden State April 6...Scored first points of the season vs. Denver on November 9...Had four rebounds vs. Golden State April 10...Activated off injured list April 6 after missing 64 of the previous 67 games with a sore left knee

    1999-2000 REGULAR SEASON
    Activated from the injured list on 3/8 Scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a 131-95 victory over Atlanta on 11/13
