2001-02:
Rookie season (Philadelphia)...played in 23 games, starting the
final two games of the season for Dikembe Mutombo...averaged 1.1 points
and 1.6 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game...scored his first NBA point on a
free throw at Toronto (3/3) and his first field goal at Atlanta (3/9) to
finish with a season-high four points...played a season/career-high 21
minutes versus Chicago (4/15), scoring a career-high eight points and
tying his high with five rebounds...placed on the injured list with right
knee tendinitis on Oct. 29...activated from the injured list on Nov. 9
after missing five games...played in the next five contests, making his
NBA debut at Miami (11/13), playing one minute...returned to the injured
list on Nov. 23 with a left ankle sprain where he stayed for 45
games...activated on March 1 and played in 18 of the final 26 games,

Only second Georgia Tech center ever to earn All-ACC honors (First Team, 2001), following John Salley's Second Team honors in 1986 ... a four-time member of the ACC All-Defensive Team ... finished career as Tech's all-time leading shot blocker with 425 blocks ... ranks fourth in blocked shots in ACC history, trailing only Tim Duncan (481), Ralph Sampson (462) and Tree Rollins (450) ... ranks with previous three as one of only four players in ACC history with 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 400 blocked shots ... recorded four of top five seasons for blocks in school history ... averaged 13.4 points and team-leading 10.4 rebounds (10th in nation) as a senior in 2000-01, helping team reach NCAA Tournament ... also led the team in blocked shots with 101 (3.4 per game, 10th in nation) ... was the second straight Yellow Jacket to lead the ACC in rebounding, following teammate Jason Collier (Houston Rockets) and ranked second in ACC in blocks ... collected 16 points and 18 rebounds at North Carolina and led Tech to an ACC Tournament victory over Virginia with 20 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks ... named to the ACC All-Tournament Second Team after averaging 13.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in two games ... in 1999-00, named to the ACC All-Defensive Team for third straight year ... as a sophomore in 1998-99, was an Honorable Mention All-ACC and ACC All-Defensive team selection ... led the conference in blocks (3.5 per game, 6th in nation) for the second straight year ... led Tech in field goal percentage ... 52.3 percent ... as a freshman in 1997-98, named to both the ACC All-Freshman Team and ACC All-Defensive Team in 1997-98 ... led conference and was third in the nation in blocked shots with 141 (4.3 per game) ... broke the Tech single-season record for blocked shots in only 18 games ... in first collegiate game, blocked a career-high 11 shots against Winthrop.
