Full name is Alexander Cantrell Johnson…nickname is “A.J.”…is the son of Gwen Johnson…has a daughter, Amori Johnson…has two younger brothers (Cortez Johnson and Robert Arnold)…in addition to his mother, he credits his grandmothers Mary Jones and Rena Kendrick for helping him be successful…was also mentored by his godparents Charles and Ann Roberts…his first cousin Chris Cameron is currently the head coach at Division II Albany State University in Albany, GA after playing collegiately at Tulane and professionally in Iceland, Finland, Mexico and with the San Diego Stringrays of the International Basketball League…majored in sports administration at FSU…chose his major due to his love of sports…stated the proximity of Florida State to his hometown of Albany, GA (two hours away) was one of the factors in him becoming a Seminole…selected FSU over Indiana, Cincinnati, Connecticut and Kentucky…would like to become an athletic trainer when he is done playing…his favorite NBA team growing up was the Los Angeles Lakers and his favorite player was Allen Iverson…lists football as his favorite sport other than basketball and the Baltimore Ravens as his favorite team…enjoys being with family and friends in his free time…enjoys listening to rap and R&B music and lists Tupac as his favorite artist…named Rocky as his favorite movie and Sanford and Son as his favorite TV show…selected Houston’s as his favorite restaurant…his pre-game meal consists of grilled chicken and a baked potato…says the best place he has visited is Las Vegas…has three tattoos…wears a size 13 shoe.
