2009-10:
Through the first 27 games of 2009-10 he made just eight appearances and posted 25 points with nine rebounds, four assists and just one steal…in those eight games he averaged less than eight minutes (7.9) a game, shot 9-29 from the floor (.310) and made 4-15 from beyond the 3-pt arc…beginning with the game against Atlanta, 12/26, he made appearances in 24 straight games and saw time in all but seven of the team's final 55 games…in his last 48 games, he more than doubled his scoring average of the first eight, registering 8.0 ppg…in those remaining 48 games, he averaged 2.1 apg and 1.6 rpg, while collecting 34 steals…in place of Earl Watson, who was out for personal reasons, he made the first two starts of his NBA career vs. Detroit, 2/5, and at Milwaukee, 2/6…in those two games, he scored 17 points, handed out eight asssts and claimed six rebounds in a total of 47 minutes…including his four assists in each of those two starts, he had at least four assists in 10 games and dealt a career-high seven assists at Minnesota, 1/8…the next night at Oklahoma City, he scored a season-high 23 points on 9-15 FGS, 3-5 3-pt FGS and 2-2 FTS…he also had three assists and two steals against the Thunder…that was the middle game of a three-game streak in which he scored 10+ points in each…in those three games, he shot 17-34 FGS, 7-12 from 3-pt range and 8-8 FTS…he also scored in double figures in three straight in April (4/2-7), and his 17 points vs. Houston, 4/4, included a career-high five 3-pt FGS (5-9)…that outing was part of a nine-game stretch in which he made at least one 3-pt field goal in each and was 20-47 from beyond the arc (.426)…for the season, he shot 60-174 (.345) from 3-pt range, ranking 12th among the league's rookies in both 3-pt field goals made and 3-pt field goal accuracy…after starting the season 3-15 from 3-pt range, he shot 57-159 from long range the rest of the campaign…he made at least three 3-pt FGS five times, including 4-4 vs. Philadelphia, 1/23, and 3-3 vs. New York, 4/7…he was 5-9 from beyond the arc in games vs. Houston, 4/4, and vs. Orlando, 4/12…he committed a total of 10 turnovers and passed out three assists in a three-game span in late January…from that point on, however, he committed more than two turnovers just two times in his remaining 31 appearances…in those 31 games, he averaged 2.0 apg and just 1.0 topg…following a three-year college career in which he shot just over 72 percent from the foul line (.724), he hit 60-75 FTS (.800) in his first NBA season…
