The Indiana Pacers are falling apart with the playoffs just over two weeks away.

The slumping Pacers try to get back on track Wednesday night as they go for an eighth win in nine matchups against the visiting Detroit Pistons.

Indiana (52-23) has dropped three straight and five of six to fall into second place in the Eastern Conference, percentage points behind Miami. While the Pacers were at one point focused on securing home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, they're just looking to right the ship.

When the Pistons won at Indiana back in December – all things considered, still the best win of the season – not much seemed beyond their grasp. They were in the playoff field and, by all appearances, headed toward a postseason berth, possibly even a top-four spot given the growth potential they seemed to hold. Remember, they’d won at Miami a few weeks before that amid a four-game road winning streak.
