The rewards for being a Detroit Pistons Crew Member (season ticket holder) just got substantially more appealing: TVs, vacations to Cancun or a road trip on Roundball One. On Thursday, September 21, the Detroit Pistons introduced the Ultimate Crew Giveaway by randomly selecting their first two Crew Members to receive exclusive prizes. Every business day until November 30, the Pistons will draw two names from their database of full, half and mini-season ticket holders and present these Crew Members with some of the most unique prizes in sports.

“The idea is to reward our Crew Members with prizes that they can’t get anywhere else,” said Tom Wilson, CEO of the Detroit Pistons. “Being a guest on Pistons Weekly, being invited to watch training camp or having lunch with Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn; those are things you can’t get anywhere else but from the Detroit Pistons. Our Crew Members are the most loyal and supportive of any ticket holders in the NBA and we think this is a unique way to say thank you.”

The first two recipients in the Ultimate Crew Giveaway won passes to the new ERSA Club at The Palace and use of a suite for a regular season Pistons game, respectively. Other prizes that will be given away until November 30 include trips to Las Vegas, an opportunity to take the 2004 NBA Championship trophy to work, the opportunity to be a ball kid for a game, autographed player practice gear, golf weekends for next summer, concert tickets for next season’s DTE schedule, chalk talks with Pistons coaches, tours of the Pistons television truck and catered viewing parties.

This is the first year the Pistons have offered the Ultimate Crew Giveaway.

The Pistons pre-season begins October Opening Night for the 2006-07 regular season is scheduled for November 1, when the Pistons host the Milwaukee Bucks for an 8:00 p.m. game. Tickets for individual games, including Opening Night, go on-sale Saturday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. at The Palace Box Office, online and at all TicketMaster outlets.
