Join the Pistons on 2008 Tipoff Tour

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - On Wednesday, September 17, a customized tour bus will pull out of The Palace's parking lot and embark on the Detroit Pistons 2008 Season Tipoff Tour.

Included on the bus will be Pistons Head Coach Michael Curry, Vice President of Basketball Operations Scotty Perry, Rodney Stuckey, Arron Afflalo, George Blaha, Greg Kelser --- and two lucky winners of the Pistons Tipoff Tour Contest.

Fans can enter the contest by signing up at www.pistons.com. Two lucky fans will be selected at random and will join the team for the entire Tipoff Tour.

The 2008 Season Tipoff Tour is a two-day statewide tour that will bring the Detroit Pistons to all areas of Michigan. The Tour will start in Lansing, the morning of Wednesday, September 17. The Tour will move to Grand Rapids for a lunchtime event and then head up to Traverse City for an after-school rally where the Tour will be joined by Automotion, Hooper and the Palace Patrol. The Tour will stay overnight at the Grand Traverse Resort and resume Thursday morning with a stop in Midland at Midland Dow High School. Headed south, the Tour will stop in Flint for an afternoon visit and then head down to Toledo.

The two lucky fans that win the Pistons Tipoff Tour Contest will be with the players, coaches and Pistons dignitaries for the entire trip. They will be introduced at each Tour stop and will interact with other fans, VIPs and the media. They will be invited to an exclusive dinner on Tuesday night with the players and coaches and will spend the night at the Grand Traverse Resort. The winners will receive a special Pistons prize package and four tickets to a Pistons pre-season game.

Fans must be 18 years or older to enter. Winners will be selected at random and will be announced on Monday, September 15. Winners must be willing to be gone for two days, pack for the overnight stay, and must provide their own transportation to and from The Palace.
