Taco Bell® / Detroit Pistons “Taco Bell Slam Dunk” Sweepstakes Official Rules
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER
All federal, state and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes dates: Feb. 9th – Mar. 19th, 2004. Sweepstakes will be conducted at 110 participating Detroit area Taco Bell® locations.
2. TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
The Taco Bell® Slam Dunk Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins on February 9, 2004 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on March 19, 2004 at 11:59 P.M, Eastern Standard Time. Entrants will have two ways to enter the Sweepstakes: (1) access the Pistons Web site at http://www.pistons.com (“Web Site”) and click on the Sweepstakes icon, which will take you to the Sweepstakes home page and entry form. Then, complete and thereafter transmit the entry form. Information required on the entry form consists of your name, address (including zip code), telephone number (including area code), date of birth, and e-mail address (“Entry”). Customers may enter the sweepstakes as often as they like, however each entry must be emailed separately. Internet entries are limited to one entry per day per person/email address. Entries in excess of the limit will be disqualified. All required entry information must be completed in full in order for an Entry to be eligible. Proof of delivery or receipt of Entry will not be deemed by Glass Palace LLC as proof of entry. (2) Taco Bell Customers will be directed by in-store merchandising to fill out an entry form offered at participating Taco Bell® locations and mail it to Taco Bell Slam Dunk Sweepstakes, 3 Championship Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 for a chance to win one of five prizes. Any attempted form of Entry other than as described herein is void. Prizes are as follows: PRIZE 1: (1) trip for two (2) people to fly to San Antonio, TX (airline to be determined by Glass Palace, LLC), a three (3) days / two (2) nights stay at a hotel to be determined by Glass Palace, LLC (2) people and two (2) tickets to the 3/25/04 Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio, TX. PRIZE 2: Bus trip departing from Taco Bell with 20 friends to see the Pistons v. Toronto home game on 4/9/04. PRIZE 3: Autographed Pistons Jersey by a player of winner’s choice. PRIZE 4: Two tickets to all Palace concerts for one year. PRIZE 5: Play basketball on the pistons court with nine friends at the Palace in the afternoon for one hour. All entries must be received by Glass Palace, LLC no later than March 19, 2004 11:59 PM, Eastern Standard Time, to be considered for entry into the sweepstakes. Neither the Glass Palace, LLC or Taco Bell is responsible for lost, late, stolen, undelivered, misaddressed, ineligible, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, incorrect or postage due entries / mail or email. Entries become the property of Glass Palace, LLC and will not be returned. No mechanically reproduced or photocopied entries will be accepted. The Glass Palace, LLC has sole discretion on determining illegible entries. 3. INTERNET ENTRY
Sponsor is not responsible for any late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for technical problems in connection with the transmission or receipt of entry, including faulty electronic data transmission, traffic congestion on the Internet or on the web site, hardware or software error, equipment failure or malfunction, or other online communications problems. No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor resulting from user’s attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes or download any information in connection with participating in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION; ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN THE EVENT THE SWEEPSTAKES IS COMPROMISED BY VIRUS, BUGS, NON-AUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF SPONSOR WHICH CORRUPTS OR IMPAIRS THE ADMINISTRATION, SECURITY, FAIRNESS OR PROPER PLAY OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION TO MODIFY, SUSPEND OR TERMINATE THE SWEEPSTAKES, AND TO AWARD THE PRIZE FROM AMONG ALL ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED PRIOR TO ACTION TAKEN BY SPONSOR.
4. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION
Glass Palace, LLC will announce the prize winners at half time at the Pistons home games on the following dates: 2/18/04, 2/27/04, 3/10/04, 3/19/04, 3/27/04. Potential winners will be randomly selected in a series of drawings from among all eligible Entries received by Glass Palace, LLC. The first drawing for prize #1 will take place on or about February 17, 2004, the drawing for prize #2 will take place on or about February 26 2004, the drawing for prize #3 will take place on or about March 9, 2004 (“Drawing Dates”). The drawing for prize #4 will take place on or about March 18, 2004, the drawing for prize #5 will take place on or about March 26, 2004 (“Drawing Dates”). The random drawings shall be conducted by Sweepstakes Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes. Eligible non-winning Entries will be retained for subsequent prize drawings. Potential winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email within approximately one (1) week of each Drawing Date. If any potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted, if he/she is found to be ineligible, if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, or if his/her prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected at sole discretion of Glass Palace, LLC. All prizes must be claimed four working days after the winner has been notified. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Glass Palace, LLC’s decisions on matters relating to this sweepstakes are final. Non-compliance with these rules may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
5. PRIZE DETAILS:
Entrants have a chance to win one of five prizes: PRIZE 1: (1) trip for two (2) people to fly (airline to be determined by Glass Palace, LLC) to San Antonio (2 coach round-trip airline tickets from Detroit, MI to San Antonio, TX), three (3) days / two (2) nights stay at a hotel to be determined by Glass Palace, LLC, a one (1) double occupancy room for three (3) nights, (2) people and two (2) tickets to the 3/25/04 Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio, TX. All vacations are for the winning person and one (1) guest of the winner’s choosing. All trips must be taken before March 25, 2004. Trips may not be sold, traded, transferred, or rescheduled to dates other than as set forth above. Estimated value of first prize is $2,500 (Actual value may change based on final arrangements.). Prize 2: Bus trip departing from local Taco Bell to be determined with 20 friends to the Pistons v. Toronto home game on 4/9/04. Estimated value of second prize is $2,000. PRIZE 3: Autographed Pistons Jersey by a player. Estimated value of third prize is $250. PRIZE 4: Two tickets to all Palace concerts for one year. Estimated value of fourth prize is $10,000. PRIZE 5: Play basketball on the pistons court with nine friends at the Palace in the afternoon for one hour. Estimated value of fifth prize is $500. Unless otherwise stated, prizes do not include ground transportation, meals, taxes, tips and incidentals. Winner must be a legal resident of the United States and 18 years or older. Limit one prize per person, no prize substitution or cash redemption allowed by winner. Sweepstakes Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or grater value as necessary. All Prizes are non transferable. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Government taxes, insurance, gratuities, ground transportation, meals and other incidental expenses are not included in any prizes. Prizewinners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of all taxes. An Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 will be provided to each of the prizewinners.
6. AWARDING OF THE PRIZE:
Winner must present an official picture identification or valid Drivers License and must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability / Publicity Release and Sweepstakes Rules Release when picking up their prize package at Glass Palace, LLC. Winner must claim winnings in person and must present proper identification in order to receive winnings. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. Winner agrees that Sponsors and/or the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates may use their name or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes without additional compensation except where prohibited by law. All winners will be drawn randomly by Glass Palace, LLC representative.
7. ELIGIBILITY:
Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the state of Michigan and must be 18 years or older. Employees of Glass Palace, LLC, Taco Bell and the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc. and their immediate families, their respective subsidiaries, agents’ affiliates, franchisees, licensees, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to win. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY.
By participating, entrants (and their parent(s)/legal guardian(s) if entrants are minors) agree (a) to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding; (b) to the use of their names and/or likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law; and (c) to release Sponsors, and/or the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc, their parent companies and franchisees/licensees, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, award supplier, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from all liability in connection with any prize received in this Sweepstakes or from participating in this Sweepstakes or any prize-related activities. Entrants waive the right to assert, as a cost of receiving prize, any and all costs of redemption.
