“Every quarter 25 (points) or more in every quarter. We bring nothing defensively…nothing. I think Marcus (Morris) competed against Carmelo Anthony and nobody else brought anything.”
On the defense:
“Like I said, there was not one stretch in that game where we played defense.”

“(Jose) Calderon we gave easy shots early. We let him shoot. We didn’t guard (Robin) Lopez early in the game. Give the Knicks credit…they played a lot harder than we did.”
On Robin Lopez:
“Lopez blocked six shots. You know why? He played hard? Robin Lopez was a major factor in the game…he played a lot harder.”

“I found out at shoot around that I was going to get a chance to play so I prepared myself to be ready.”
On his play:
“I was trying to find guys and run the show. I think guys know every time I am in there I am going to push the ball and try to find guys. I definitely had fun.”
On playing at Madison Square Garden:
“Madison Square Garden is one of the most famous arenas around the world. The electricity and energy in here is always high so every time you are in here you want to put on a show.”

On tonight’s game:
“We didn’t get stops all night. We have to better defensively. We have to be intact. At times guys are playing individually but we are not doing it as a team. We have to be better. That is myself…that is everybody. We can’t continue to sink…we can’t continue to watch ourselves sink.”
On the team’s struggles:
“Change is subbing…that is Coach’s job. If you are putting in an effort or you are not here about business then get out. We are putting effort in but we are not putting it together. People are playing with individual pride. We are not all five in tune like we did to start the season.”

“We wanted to play aggressive. We figured out our game plan. A lot of pick-and-rolls….get (Andre) Drummond involved. We wanted to close out to the shooters and we did a better job in the second half.”
On his play in the fourth quarter:
“I wanted to be aggressive and get to the line. That is what I do best…attacking and causing mismatches.”
On the team’s chemistry:
“It is a tight knit group. No matter who is in the game everyone on the bench is cheering for them. That is a good thing on this team.”
On Robin Lopez defense on Andre Drummond:
“I think he did an amazing job. I think he has (Andre Drummond) had five games with 20-20 (points and rebounds). That was a big part of the game plan…throwing two or three bodies at him, get him frustrated and close out to the shooters.”
Carmelo Anthony
On tonight’s game:
“It was a total team effort tonight on both ends…especially the defensive end. I think we did a great job of paying attention to details and we made it happen.”
On having six assists:
“For me it was more finding guys…if they were open it was about getting it to them in the right spots. I thought everyone did a great job of sticking to the script defensively. It was a good win.”
On Derrick Williams:
“Effort, energy, paying attention to details. The lineup he was out there with…we switched a lot. Tonight was a game we willed our way to it (the win).”
On playing with a big lineup:
“It worked tonight…tonight that lineup worked. We kept a body on a body. We kept a body on their big…(Andre) Drummond or whoever it was which allowed us to do with what needed to do on the perimeter.”
